Damon activated the treasure-seeking token. The small disc warmed slightly in his palm as faint ripples spread outward through the air. Its range was limited, barely stretching beyond the nearby cavern network, but that was enough.
Within moments, several faint signatures appeared in his perception.
They were subtle distortions in the surrounding energy, places where the natural flow of the world bent slightly, hinting that something unusual lay hidden there. Most of them were weak, likely nothing more than minor materials or low-grade artifacts.
Damon ignored those immediately. He only focused on the bigger fluctuations, but there was nothing like that in the nearby vicinity. "Hmmm... if many people are inside this memory world, then the size of this world is probably huge. This won’t do..." He looked at the token again and activated it, but this time, he also activated his primordial senses.
If he knew how to work it correctly and had the mental capacity to fully decode his primordial senses and grasp everything he observed using it, then that would be the ultimate treasure-seeking device.
But he was not at that level yet. There was simply too much information with the primordial senses, and the small things get left out. However, with the small token, things were slightly better.
With the token and his primordial senses activated at the same time, he could now sense a much wider area. The difference was immediate.
The treasure-seeking token acted like a filter, highlighting irregularities, while his primordial senses filled in the details the token could not provide. The chaotic flood of information that normally overwhelmed him suddenly became more structured.
However, it lasted only for a moment before the token snapped in half. The faint ripples of energy it had been emitting instantly vanished, leaving behind nothing but two dull fragments.
Damon stared at the broken pieces for a second before letting out a soft chuckle. "So that’s the limit, huh?"
It made sense. The token had clearly never been meant to handle something like Primordial Senses layered on top of it. The two forces together had amplified each other far beyond what the fragile artifact could withstand.
Still, the short moment it had lasted was enough. Damon closed his eyes again, recalling the information his senses had captured during that brief overlap. He knew where his next stop was. Without wasting time, he quickly dashed forward, teleporting a few times before he arrived.
He was standing in a huge cavern much bigger than the small cave he was in earlier. There was a big lake sprawled across the cavern space and in the middle of the lake was a single lotus flower.
Although it looked like a flower, Damon immediately sensed something profoundly different about it. He teleported right next to it when the waters of the lake started roiling. From deep within a pair of amber eyes flashed open.
Damon grabbed the flower and right as a tremendous amount of pressure slammed on him, he exchanged places with his shadow clone waiting outside. Why waste time on something that could be solved easily? He quickly teleported away from that area and summoned his blood avatar.
