Kyle took a deep breath.
Naturally, he was most interested in the last option. Knowing how to use Death to learn Laws more efficiently would save a ton of time.
However, the dangers were also very real. He would need to keep this power secret from everybody. The worst part was that he couldn't be sure if he was being watched or not. What if he focused on Law Comprehension for a couple of centuries, and some random Ascendant just so happened to move through the area?
He had no control over the movement of some powerful Seekers, and he also didn't have the ability to sense them or isolate their senses.
This was the most significant danger. The other ones were not so bad since they were mostly within his control.
“How much Death is in your Blessing?” Kyle asked. “How much of it can I use before it gets too dangerous?”
“There’s a significant amount of Death in the Blessing,” the Lord said. “As long as you use it sparingly, it should help with your Law Comprehension for around 10,000 years. If you want more, you have to come back to Orchis.”
*Going back to Orchis is almost impossible,* Kyle thought. *The Communicator from the Array of Stars can track where I am. Even more, I have to travel to the Hell Dimension.*
“Is there really no way for me to create Death myself?” Kyle asked.
“Realistically, no,” the Lord said. “There are always ways, but that doesn’t mean that you have access to these ways.”
“What ways are there?” Kyle asked. “I know that I probably can’t use them, but I still want to know.”
The Lord furrowed his brows. “One way is to leave the Cosmos and enter the Primordial Chaos. However, not even the Emperor of the Contrast Empire would survive in the Primordial Chaos for a second.”
Kyle’s eyes widened. “Wait, what? The Primordial Chaos is that dangerous?”
“The other way is to comprehend a Law related to Death,” the Lord said.
“Wait, there are Laws about Death?” Kyle asked. “Didn’t you say Laws are also just Energy?”
“These are different,” the Lord said. “There are not many. In fact, there are only two, as far as I know.”
“How can I comprehend them?” Kyle asked.
The Lord shook his head. “I only know how to comprehend the Minor Law of Death, and it’s the very reason why I can grant Death to our members. Technically, you could comprehend it, but I don’t believe you’re willing to pay the price.”
“What price?” Kyle asked with interest. He was willing to pay a lot for such a powerful Law.
“You have to eradicate a world,” the Lord said coldly.
“Eradicate a world? Like, destroy it?” Kyle asked.
“The absence of life in a space that is supposed to harbor life,” the Lord said.
“Destroying a world represents destroying a vessel and its content. In order to comprehend the Minor Law of Death, you need to witness an empty vessel, but it only truly works if you are responsible for the vessel’s emptiness.”
“A world—Tertiary, Secondary, or Primary—needs to exist while being devoid of life. No humans, no beasts, no plants. Nothing. A dead world.”
Kyle scratched the back of his head. “Can’t I just look at a dead world?”
The Lord slowly shook his head. “This is not about knowing, but about feeling. You haven’t seen the world when it was alive.”
