How does the Seer even exist at this point...?
Also, even if he were to believe her story—
"Your explanation itself doesn’t make sense either.
You say you learned about the Multiverse after you cleared all of the Trials in the Temple of Time, then you manipulated Zylarith into killing Avernyth.
But...
Vashti wasn’t even born when Avernyth arrived and if you went to the past as Vashti, then that should have created another branch and ultimately a different Universe."
Nux spoke out his thoughts, the flaws in the Seer’s explanation couldn’t be more obvious, if he had heard this story from anyone else, at any point in time, he would have called it bullshit and would have given a one-star review for lack of smart writing in the fantasy story.
But...
For some odd reason—
Even when his mind could see the obvious flaws in the story, as he saw the woman standing in front of him with a calm look on her face, he couldn’t help but have this nagging feeling that... whatever she was saying was the truth.
And it was.
"You are trying to simplify things that cannot be simplified."
The Seer answered with a light smile on her face. Then, she looked at the vast space they were in and—
"You are in a Multiverse."
She informed.
"A space where no living entity should be in the first place, and yet...
Here you are.
You say my explanation doesn’t make sense, that it sounds impossible but..."
The Seer turned back to him and—
"The very fact that you are here talking to me is an impossibility."
"Do not try to change the subject."
Nux narrowed his eyes.
"I am not trying to change the subject, I am trying to say that things are far more complicated than the picture you have in your mind."
"Explain the complications to me then."
Nux didn’t back down.
He was serious when he said he would only accept whatever the Seer had to offer once she told him the truth. He would no longer trust her on empty words.
The Seer looked at him and... at some level, she knew this was exactly how he would react.
So she just sighed—
"You are in a Multiverse."
She repeated her sentence.
"What you see in front of you are countless Universes that exist simultaneously."
Nux didn’t interrupt, he let her continue and the Seer did—
"And while the depiction of Universes you see here may confuse you, do not be fooled.
The Concept of Time does not exist in the Multiverse.
It only exists individually, in individual Universes, or in other words, the Concept of Time only exists for beings that are part of the Universe.
But for the Multiverse—
Past, Present and Future do not come one after the other.
For the Multiverse, everything, about every particular Universe, be it its Beginning, its End, the Time when the Universe is conquered by a God—
It is all happening simultaneously."
The Seer explained and...
"...what?"
"The Multiverse doesn’t care when an entity named Vashti cleared the Temple of Time, from its perspective, it will happen, it is happening, and it has happened—
"While I am glad you have such a high opinion of me, I do not possess the ability to trick it.
