Surrender To Us, Our Luna (One Luna, Four Alphas) novel Chapter 563

Chapter 563: 563-And It Is Gone

Clementine:

"Where is your father?" Rue asked Ian, her eyes hinting that she would never change, that her animosity had given her the excuse to be a terrible person.

Maybe this evilness was always inside her, because even after getting confirmation that I was not the reason her sister died, she just continued to hold grudges against me.

Probably because she thought she had nothing else to do, nothing left to do.

So she wanted to spend the rest of her life just taking revenge, just giving herself mission after mission, challenges to keep herself going.

"Crushed. They are both dead," I whispered, because I could tell that Ian could not say those words.

The look on Rue’s face proved that she was realizing that it was becoming real.

Then her fingers tightened around the trigger as she held her posture up.

"And I’m guessing you killed them, didn’t you? I mean, definitely Zian must have killed your father, so you killed Zian," Rue commented, rolling her eyes at Ian.

"I should have known that you crusaders have become just like monsters. You would kill anyone who comes your way," she hissed, making me look at Ian and then back at her.

This time, I had a glare fixed on her.

"He is nothing like you, and he did not kill his brother. He never wanted to kill him. But you," I hissed.

"Let’s talk about you," I whispered, watching her jaw tighten.

"You used your sister’s demise just to be the way you are," I started to speak, watching her face lose color.

If she was trying to hurt my husband, she better believe I was going to strike her even harder.

I will hit her with my words so hard that I will leave her crying tears of blood.

"My sister died because of you," she hissed, rushing over the words, but I began to click my tongue.

"Tsk Tsk Tsk. No, you know that is not the truth. Your sister died because she became just like you. She did not only want to survive, she wanted to survive after she watched me die. She became selfish and harmful."

I spoke harshly, not explaining myself to her anymore, but reminding her that her sister was not innocent either.

She would have survived that day had she not decided to come for my throat instead.

I was the one who was saving her, but she thought she would only survive if she saw me getting crushed by the ogre.

Rue began to clench her jaw.

"Shut up! Stop talking about her!" she yelled at me.

Then she swallowed hard to compose herself.

"You all thought that just because you got rid of Zian and the headmaster, that was it?" Rue spoke in a bitter tone.

I already knew Ian was going through a lot.

Seeing the ringleader show up with a gun in her hand and the keys hanging from her belt, which I recognized from before with the academy logo on them, had to be hard for him.

Zian was probably the one who had given those keys to her when he snuck into the dark side.

"One would have thought that after being punished and exposed for your actions, you would have changed," I commented, shaking my head as I took a step toward her so she would keep the gun pointed at me, not at my friends.

"Clementine, did you seriously think that a few days alone, a few weeks in the north, would change me? That I would not hold you accountable for my sister’s death?" she asked.

"I mean, I would have," she uttered, smirking at me.

I shook my head in disbelief, tilting it slightly as I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Do you know what? How about I just end the three of you here and then leave for the mainland?" she said.

"I already know what you have done. You have gotten rid of everything and are heading back home, and the North will stay where it is," she added, shrugging her shoulders.

"Now, who should I kill first?" she let out a cackle and pointed the gun right at me.

Ian rushed in front of me, and then the gunshot echoed through the air.

For a few seconds, silence engulfed everything.

And then Rue, who had a very cocky grin on her face until now, started to cough. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

The gun dropped from her hands, and she lowered her head to look at the blood on her stomach and then her chest.

The aim was perfect. She was bleeding straight from her heart.

She dropped to her knees, and while staring at me, her body slumped to the side. There was no life left in her eyes.

As she fell aside, we saw Leysa standing behind her with a gun in her hand, the same one she had given her back when we were at Sector 13.

"You were right, Clementine. I remember when my dad used to take me for shooting practice," Leysa said.

As she lowered the gun, she smiled at us.

I remembered how she had been pretending to fight with Troy earlier, just to confuse Zian and Rue.
