“Don’t worry. The trouble on the other side will be sorted out soon. It won’t reach us here.” Riley patted Joseph’s shoulder, her tone gentle yet steady. “It’s freezing out-make sure you all stay warm too.”

Joseph and Tom breathed easy at her words. If she said everything would be fine, then it surely would be.

“Got it! We’ll go set things up right now!”

“One more thing-I’ll need an extra hand to help me. I can’t handle the workload alone.”

“I’ll go with you,” Joseph said at once. “Tom, hold down the fort here. Swap shifts with Jack and Anna when the time comes.”

“Got it.” Tom nodded.

Riley led Joseph through the quiet camp straight to the workshop.

With most of the camp empty, no lamps were lit-only the faint glow of the Bonfire Altar cast dim light over the grounds.

Riley pushed open the workshop door and flipped the main power switch on the wall.

Harsh fluorescent light flared to life, chasing away the room’s darkness.

Rows of cold mechanical equipment lay fully exposed beneath the overhead lights.

Time was tight, and Riley wasted no time.

She walked straight to the assembly line’s main console and linked her system interface to the machinery. A soft beep sounded, and the dormant conveyor belts rumbled to life.

Camp power usually only supported one production line, but with the grounds nearly empty, Riley activated both lines at full capacity.

She pulled stacks of rare blue-tier materials from her Inventory–the ones TartKing had gathered through the guild chat-and gestured to the secondary line.

“Joseph, I’ve got a task for you. I’ll operate the main line to craft the crossbow frames. You handle the secondary Sne, making matching bolts. I’ve shown you how the production lines work-link to the console, then feed lumber, is ingots, and feathers into the hopper in the right ratio.”

Joseph rubbed his hands together, resolve firm in his eyes. “You can count on me. I’ve spent my life working with metal and crafting parts. I don’t fully understand these magical machines, but I won’t slow you down.”

“Good.”

Riley nodded and threw herself straight into the grueling workflow.

Even with the assembly line’s aid, the Gust Light Crossbow was a blue-tier weapon with special knockback effects-far more complex to craft than generic common-grade goods.

To keep efficiency at its peak, Riley had to sync her mental focus fully with the console, monitoring material fusion progress ever second. The slightest misstep would ruin the crafting process entirely.

Seon, only the steady hum of machinery and the crisp clink of materials dropping into storage crates filled the workshop.

Click… Hiss-

The first Gust Light Crossbow, shimmering with faint blue light, slid down the conveyor into a wooden crate.

Riley kept working without pause, loading the next batch of materials.

Beside her on the secondary line, Joseph was already sweating through his coat.

The system granted barely any efficiency boost to native operators, slowing his pace to a crawl. He relied only on the swift hands honed by years of blacksmith work, rushing to feed materials into the hopper and keep up with Riley’s rhythm.

Time slipped by amid monotonous repetitive labor.

The wall clock ticked silently past midnight, creeping toward four in the morning.

Even with her optimized berserker stat build, Riley was worn thin-exhausted from the brutal guild battle earlier that day, them pulling an all-nighter on this mentally draining crafting work.
