Seizing the opening, the monster parted its massive maw lined with jagged fangs, lowering its head to snap at the falling girl.

The colossal monster’s jaws snapped shut with terrifying force, clamping down hard on the spears. The metal shafts bent into a horrifying curve under the crushing pressure, groaning under the strain.

Riley pressed forward through the gap, aiming to slash apart the fleshy tumor deep in its throat with her

axes.

The moment she threw her axes, the monster’s mouth contracted sharply.

Riley’s slender figure vanished entirely within the crushing maw.

Blood gushed through the gaps between its fangs, staining the snow crimson beneath.

The colossal monster crashed heavily to the ground, lifeless at last.

An oppressive silence settled over the entire Bonfire Altar. Even the crawling monsters closing in froze. stunned by the brutal scene unfolding before them.

Behind them, TartKing had just pulled Neeko back from the brink of death. She stared blankly at the fallen monster, still clutching a healing potion meant for Riley. The vial slipped from her grasp and clattered into the snow.
