As she sat there, Riley suddenly turned her head, realizing she hadn’t given the Flame Wolf a name yet.
She wracked her brain but couldn’t come up with anything fitting.
But as the wolf’s flames illuminated her face, flickering between red and blue, inspiration struck.
“They always say red and blue make the ultimate ‘couple. Since you’re covered in red and blue, how about I just call you CP? What do you think?” Riley said, nudging the wolf with her elbow.
The Flame Wolf only half–understood, tilting its head and looking at Riley as if to say, You’re the boss.
“CP… ‘CP‘ doesn’t exactly sound like a proper name. Let me think. How about ‘Clover Paw‘? You know, like a four–leaf clover to be my lucky charm for the big bucks. How does that sound, CP?”
This time, the Flame Wolf finally reacted, standing up and spinning in a circle to show its
agreement.
“CP! If you wanna go out and play, use this portal. Remember, you can’t break any of the houses you see, and…”
Sitting beside it, Riley unknowingly kept rambling on with her instructions.
As the night deepened, she finally headed back to sleep.
She slept exceptionally well.
The next day.
When Riley finally opened her eyes again, it was already past 10:00 AM.
She sat up in bed and stretched luxuriously. After washing up, she took her usual morning stroll with her breakfast.
But the moment she pushed open the main house doors and stepped out of her private
camp…
The sight before her made even the usually unflappable Riley pause.

It was insanely busy.

While she had been sleeping, TartKing and NorthWind had clearly gotten the new quest system and personnel assignments fully operational.
Everywhere she looked, people were bustling about.
To the front–right of the camp, a wide snow path had been completely cleared and compacted, leading straight to the open–pit coal mine over a mile away. Several crude wooden transport carts, fully loaded with pitch–black coal, were being pushed and pulled by survivors, creaking loudly as they headed toward the Hope Guild and Riley’s camp warehouses.
Even though permission settings prevented them from storing the coal in their Inventories for easy transport, their enhanced physiques made the manual labor fairly easy.
Along the path, quite a few survivors were swinging shovels, continuing to widen and reinforce this supply line.
But what truly shocked Riley was the vineyard expansion area to the front–left.
The natives, Tom and Lily, were standing on a ridge. Their faces were flushed with unprecedented ecstasy and excitement as they waved their arms, directing the work.
On the thawed earth in front of them, they didn’t even need to lift a finger to till the soil
themselves.
Several survivors in various cold–weather gear stood at the edge of the field.
With the activation of a single item card, the rock–hard frozen earth rolled like waves. The solid dirt clods were instantly pulverized and churned, transforming into incredibly soft, fertile soil perfectly suited for planting. One survivor tilling the land with a card was as efficient as ten natives digging all morning!
Another survivor followed closely behind. With a wave of their hands, a small raincloud condensed in mid–air, evenly sprinkling water over the freshly planted Grape Seeds.
While skills like that weren’t powerful in combat, they were absolutely overkill for watering vegetables.
Having these survivors participate in infrastructure work was a total dimension–level beatdown compared to what the natives could do.
Riley strolled toward the vineyard.
“My Lady! You’re awake!”
