Chapter 442 Level 6 Camp Upgrade
Joseph and Lily turned around and headed off to start their day’s work.
Riley pulled up her camp’s system panel and entered the Building Management tab.
Just as she expected, she had zero available building slots.
She was faced with two choices.

First: ignore the system blueprints and manually build the workshop frame by frame with regular wood and stone based on Lily’s sketch. But non–system buildings took forever to build and lacked system management properties, making them impossible to move or auto–repair.
Second: upgrade the camp to unlock more building slots.
Riley decisively chose the second option.
She clicked on the ‘Shelter Upgrade Options‘ to check the materials needed to go from Level 5 to Level 6:
Upgrade Requirements:
Wood: 12,000 / 6,000
Stone: 30,000/3,000
Coal: 3,587/2,000
Iron Ingots: 5,000/2,000
Glass: 1,000/100
Advanced Electronic Components: 120/200
Stone Slabs: 20/500
Earth Elemental Crystals: 1/20
Energy Cores: 88/200
Magical Energy Cores: 97/20
Frost Tokens: 369 / 20
Riley skimmed her Inventory and private stash.
She had an astronomical amount of basic materials like wood and stone, so she didn’t even need to sweat it. As for the electronic
components, she was a bit short, but she could easily craft some more.
However, she was severely lacking in Energy Cores and Elemental Crystals.
These dropped almost exclusively from wild treasure chests, but ever since she hit financial freedom, she rarely went out of her way to farm chests.

She’d just have to trade for them.

Sticking to the principle of keeping resources in–house, Riley opened the system panel and dropped into the Hope Guild group
chat.
It was just past 8:00 AM, but the chat was already buzzing.
[SpicyBurger (Guild Leader): Buying materials. Need 500 Stone Slabs, 19 Earth Elemental Crystals, and some electronic components. DM me if you’ve got ‘em. Willing to trade purple gear, potions, or other resources,]
Since she was already trading, she couldn’t be bothered to waste time crafting the electronic components and decided to just buy everything in one go.
The moment her message dropped, the chat–which had been debating the best monster–farming spots–instantly shifted gears.
[Bruce: The Boss appears! Are we starting another mega project?]
[Stool: Stone Slabs? I actually have a ton of those stashed! Made ‘em for fun a while back. You can just have them, Boss! It’s just basic building mats, no need to pay me!]
[LoneWolf: I’ve got a few high–tier crystals! I can trade them to you, Boss. Just spot me some coal in return. I’ve been out farming monsters non–stop and spent all my contribution points on gear, so I’m running low on coal.]
[Fly: Earth elementals, right? I’ve got a few of those too!]
Within seconds, Riley had practically gathered everything she needed.
Watching the chat, Riley’s expression remained completely neutral
[SpicyBurger: No. Business is business.]
[SpicyBurger: The guild’s resources belong to the guild, and upgrading my personal camp is my own business. We grouped up to help each other survive, which means we’re all fundamentally equal. If I use my position as Guild Leader to take your mats for free today, someone else will think it’s okay to steal from the rookies tomorrow.
[SpicyBurger: Rules are rules, and personal relationships don’t override the guild system. As the leader, I have to set the example. Trade me what you have, tell me what you want in return, and l’li send it over to you later.]
In the apocalypse, it was normal for those in power to extort those beneath them, for the strong to take from the weak. But Riley hated that. At the very least, while she had the power to uphold fairness, she refused to let that happen.
[LoneWolf: …Massive respect, Boss! Sending the trade request now!]
[Stool: Understood! Hang tight, Boss, sending the trade!]
System chimes rang out in rapid succession as multiple trades went through.
