Chapter 463 The Market Monopoly

Boss! The new members tending the greenhouse immediately straightened their backs when they saw Riley.

They’re growing well.Riley touched a crisp cabbage leaf and nodded.

This vibrant scene put Riley in an exceptionally good mood.

After returning to her private camp and spending the entire morning scrolling through videos on her tablet with Neeko, Riley still felt a bit restless.

Confirming everything was running smoothly, Riley dove straight into the Tool Room.

The weather had been getting progressively worse over the past few days. The Hope Guild members were happily enjoying their holiday in the tavern, but the other survivors out in the wild weren’t having nearly as good a time.

The vast majority of players definitely didn’t have the luxury of a holiday. To kill time and prepare for the inevitable crisis that would follow the blizzard, they had nothing else to do but frantically spam the regional trading channel, looking for ways to boost their combat power or buy missing fuel.

This was the absolute golden age for crafting commissions.

Riley pulled up the system panel.

Confirming crafting request from player Frozen Miles: Purple blueprint Phantom Frost Longbow. Received full set of materials and 50% crafting fee.

In the current game meta, the failure rate for crafting purple gear was astronomically high, and rolling bonus stats was borderline impossible. This was the exact information gap Riley was exploiting to monopolize the entire server.

Riley expertly loaded the materials into the workbench and started the process.

Half an hour later.

Ding! Crafting complete. Obtained: Phantom Frost Longbow (Purple) x1. Bonus Stat Rolled: Frost Sluggishness (Attacks apply a slowing effect).

A slowing effect! While it wasn’t as overpowered as a knockback, it was still a purpletier ranged weapon.

Looking at the shimmering longbow, Riley didn’t hesitate and clicked Deliver.

As for the extra crafting fees she raked in, coupled with the premium orders generated by her rapidly spreading reputation for rolling godtier stats, her personal treasury was inflating at a terrifying speed.

Over the next few days, Riley focused entirely on processing commissions, taking any order that caught her eye.

Not only did she take orders, but she also used the massive amounts of crafting fees she earned to aggressively sweep the trading market, buying up undervalued Advanced Mana Fibers, Refined Steel Ore, and lowtier Elemental Crystals.

By playing the market and combining her freematerials with the guild’s existing stockpile, Riley managed to craft a staggering total of eight purpletier ranged weapons for her own guild!

Looking at the weapon rack displaying four Phantom Frost Longbows and four ArmorPiercing Longbows, Riley clapped the dust

off her hands in satisfaction.

Of course, making money was fun, but resting was essential.

Consecutive hours of highintensity crafting left Riley mentally drained. Stepping through the spatial ripples, Riley first headed to

the Beach Pocket Dimension.

It was the complete opposite of the freezing hellscape outside. The sun was shining brightly, and the temperature was locked at a perfectly comfortable level. Fine, soft white sand stretched at the way to the edge of a miniature azure ocean, the waves gently lapping against the reefs.

Riley used the system panel to swap into light summer clothes. She laid back on a beach chair, wearing sunglasses she had unboxed from some random chest, holding a glass of iced fruit juice custommade by TartKing, and comfortably stretched her limbs.

Right beside her, the massive Variant Flame Wolf, C.P., was sprawled out flat on its back in the sand. Thanks to its fireattribute physique, it was insanely comfortable in this warm environment.

The hilarious part was that Riley had shoved a pair of custommade, oversized sunglasses onto its massive wolf head. One wolf and one human laying sidebyside on the beach soaking up the sunit was a scene full of absurd, comedic contrast.

This is the lifeRiley took a deep breath of the salty sea breeze.
