Chapter 491

Riley nodded and stepped right through the glowing barrier set up by security

The moment she crossed the threshold, the deafening noise of the market hit her. The cavern was absolutely bustling

The sides of the cave were lined with all sorts of bizarre, makeshift stalls

Some vendors were two headed goblins, others were elven mages entirely shrouded in black robes, and there was even a giant toad sitting in a vat of mystery liquid, croaking out prices.

Weaving between these stalls were hundreds of survivors from a myriad of different servers.

They wore a chaotic mishmash of gear. Some grouped up, others ran solo.

Thanks to the market rules, everyone kept a tight lid on their tempers. Even if bitter enemies bumped into each other, they just glarec daggers; nobody dared draw steel in here.

The vibe inside was way more relaxed than at the entrance. The NPCs here were actually quite approachable and totally open to haggling and bartering, so the cavern echoed with the sound of players negotiating for a better deal.

The goods on display blew Riley’s mind.

Shattered Dragon Scales, Advanced Teleportation Array Blueprints, High Demon Bloodall kinds of ultrarare materials and items impossible to find on the surface were slapped with price tags right out in the open.

Of course, the only accepted currency was Frost Tokens.

Riley didn’t dive into the crazy material stalls right away. She didn’t even know what half that stuff did, so it was useless to her right

now.

She wanted to browse for utility item cards she could actually use.

Strolling down the main drag, she scanned the stalls. After completing a loop, she approached an elven vendor specializing in cards, aiming to ask if they stocked any Single Use Dungeon Comms Cards.

Right at that moment, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a slightly secluded cave entrance to her right.

A small group of people was huddled there.

Dead center was an incredibly familiar silhouette.

It was a woman rocking the exact same windbreaker as Riley, sporting red hair, and currently arguing until she was blue in the face

with a vendor.

Standing right next to her was a tall, scruffy, middleaged guy with a weapon slung across his back that Riley knew intimately: the Gust Light Crossbow.

It was Hanna! And the scruffy guy was LoneWolf!

Standing a halfstep behind them were four other familiar faces from Hope Guild: Desk, Fly, Ketchup, and Beagle.

They looked rough, clearly sporting some heavy injuries from a recent beating

Riley completely forgot about acting the elf verderfor cards. She spun on her heel and strode straight toward the alcove

Hanna was currently glaring daggers at aged potion on the vendor’s table Boss, twenty tokens is pushing it, and you’re Jemanding thirty? If nobody buys it, you’re taking a loss anyway Cut me a deal, win win for both of us

Wait, is that the Boss?!

Beagle, acting as the lookout, spotted her first and practically yelled.

He’d see Riley obliterating the giant catfish monster in his dreams for the rest of his life.

The moment Beagle spoke up, the others whipped their heads around, staring at Riley in sheer disbelief

Riley kept her eyes on Hanna’s group, stepping up with a faint smile.

Lonewolf nodded at Riley first, quickly greeting her.

Beagle, who had run the clearing operation with Riley back on the surface, was vibrating with excitement, his voice actually shaking. BBoss! It’s really you!

Hanna completely forgot about haggling with the NPC.
