If PineappleBeer and Tartking had pushed to a different floor, or if they just hadn’t lusked into a comms card drop like her. contacting them was completely off the table.
“What about the rest of the guild?” Riley asked
The members scattered across the different corners of the dungeon were in extreme danger right now.
“We got hold of a few.” Hanna nodded. “During the first comms check, we reached LoneWolf and Beagle since they were close, and we also managed to ping Nobody, LoneSparrow, and Felix. They confirmed they’re on the eighth floor too. But..”
Hanna sighed heavily. “Floor 8 is way too massive. The coordinates and terrain they described are miles away, and there’s a nightmare of a labyrinth packed with cross–server hit squads standing between us. To avoid getting picked off one by one while trying to group up, we agreed to hole up in safe zones or stick to small squads, and figure out a real plan once things cool down.”
Riley nodded. Hanna’s call was rock solid. Without overwhelming combat power, blindly trekking across hostile territory to group up was a death sentence. Linking up with the closest members first was the smart play.
“Let’s not stand around talking.”
Riley glanced around. The passing survivors were occasionally throwing calculating looks their way.
A large group crowding a vendor’s stall drew entirely too much heat.
Looking across the street, she spotted a cozy setup resembling a sidewalk cafe tucked into a corner, complete with an open–air beverage cart strung with fairy lights.
“Come on, let’s grab a seat over there,” Riley said, pointing.
Hanna glanced at Riley, then back at the potion stall. Even though she was still itching to buy that red potion, the Boss had spoken, She nodded decisively and led the squad after Riley.
They walked up to the corner stall.
The vendor was an elven woman with pointed ears, wearing an incredibly elegant white fur coat.
She was breathtakingly beautiful, radiating an ethereal, otherworldly vibe. But the second she saw Riley’s group approach, she plastered on a practiced retail smile.
“What can I get you folks? My drinks taste amazing, and they come with a nice little kick. If you wanna rest your feet, you gotta
order a drink.”
The elf handed over a menu carved into a large leaf.
She looked harmless, but Riley knew nobody running a stall in this market was a pushover. Since she laid down the rule no loitering without buying–Riley wasn’t about to test her.
Riley skimmed the menu.
Honestly, despite the extortionate entry fee to the market, the cost of living inside was surprisingly cheap. The drinks on the menu ranged from one to five Frost Tokens–nowhere near as pricey as the items and gear. Riley breathed a sigh of relief.

Six Cups of Frost Lime Tea.” Riley slapped six Frost Tokens onto the table.
“Coming right up.” The even woman smiled, waving a hand. The tokens flew straight into her pocket
The squad pulled up chairs around a small table After hours of high stress exploration, the moment they finally sat down, every single one of them let out an exhausted groan.
Less than two minutes later, the elf walked over carrying a wooden tray
Six cups of an inviting, pale green beverage radiating a faint chill were placed in front of them.
Riley picked up her cup and took a sip.
It was crisp, tart, and sweet, carrying a refreshing hint of lime.
