Chapter 536 Chasing Blindly
Chapter 536 Chasing Blindly
They’d rushed nonstop just to catch up to Hope Guild.
They’d dropped down from Floor 8 to Floor 2 early and sprinted through the outer zones of Floor 9 at full speed.

They’d dodged countless monster patrols, taken two brutal hits they couldn’t avoid, and burned several short-distance speed items along the way.
Their plan had seemed flawless at first.
Even if Hope Guild reached Floor 9 ahead of them, they’d still need to search for missing members, clear monsters, and navigate winding detours.
Floor 9’s terrain was chaotic. There was no way Riley could head straight for the central hall without delays.
As long as their group burned through resources and pushed hard, they could reach the hall first.
Then they’d head back outside, lock down the only path to the hall gate, and seize full control of the situation again.
But now, Riley was already standing right in front of the central gate.
Not only had she arrived early, her entire team was fully rested and geared up, seconds away from entering Floor 10.
The beast-hide man froze, unable to say a single word.
The tall, lanky man behind him stood stunned as well.
One of their lackeys still hadn’t processed what was happening. He panted heavily and asked, “Boss, should we still buy supplies? The guys outside are waiting for us to set up the blockade.”
The beast-hide man’s jaw tightened.
He stared fixedly at Riley.
Riley glanced over at him too.
Just one quick look. No surprise, no extra emotion.
It was like she’d merely spotted a random group of irrelevant players stumbling into the hall.
She pulled her gaze away and continued walking down the stone steps.
The beast-hide man’s chest burned with rage.
He’d prepared a whole list of harsh lines to say.
Lines like, “You won’t run this time.”
“We’ll settle this outside Floor 10’s gate.”
“You can’t keep getting lucky forever.”

But Ritey hadn’t given him the chance to speak.
She’d just left.
It stung far worse than any insult.
The rest of Hope Guild followed closely behind her.
Bruce trailed at the back of the formation. He glanced over his shoulder and let out a laugh.
“Well look who it is. The Floor 8 crew. You guys sure ran fast.”
The beast-hide man’s face turned dark.
Bruce acted like he didn’t notice at all. He hefted his shield onto his shoulder and spoke in a casual tone.

“Nice of you to go through all that trouble rushing here. Too bad we’re already moving out. Take your time resupplying. Don’t yourselves out.”
Felix peeked back with a genuine-looking grin.
“You guys should hit the blacksmith first to fix your gear. Wouldn’t wanna run out of durability halfway through the chase, righ That’d be awkward.”
LoneSparrow piled on another jab.
“They must be desperate. They failed to block us last time, and now they’re about to miss their chance again if they drag their
Hanna shot a quick glance backward, her tone calm and flat.
“Let’s go. No need to waste time.”
The second she spoke, the guild’s rear members stopped laughing instantly. Their formation stayed tight and steady.
One by one, every last member of Hope Guild vanished through the central gate.
The entire team descended the stone staircase leading to Floor 10.
The beast-hide man finally snapped out of his stupor.
“Useless! All of you, stop standing there!”
His lackey flinched from the shouting.
“Boss, what do we do now?”
The beast-hide man ground his teeth together.

“What else can we do? Call everyone waiting outside back in! No more wasting time on Floor 9! Buy only the fastest supplies. Skip gear repairs if you have to. We’re chasing them!”
The tall man frowned in protest.
“This is too rushed. We’ve already burned through tons of resources getting here.”

“If we don’t go now, they’ll disappear completely!” The beast-hide man roared.
“I refuse to believe Ritey stays one step ahead of us-forever!”

The underlings didn’t dare argue further. They immediately scattered to call the rest of their team back.
The beast-hide man stared at the central gate, his expression dark.
Riley had ruined their plan on Floor 8.
She’d slipped past their blockade on Floor 9 too.
He refused to let the same thing happen on Floor 10.
He was a top-tier player in his server. Now that his faction had allied with others, he refused to lose to a mere 40-player gui
If he seized the initiative this time, he’d make Hope Guild pay for every loss they’d caused him.

Riley never looked back.
She led Hope Guild steadily down the stone steps.
She couldn’t care less if the enemy chased them or not.
If they caught up, she’d deal with them.
