No traps sprung.

The team logged the loot and moved on without delay.

Their pace was firm and consistent.

They grabbed any easy loot along the way.

Anything that required big detours or costly fights got put on hold.

Floor 10’s true difficulty quickly revealed itself.

As they followed the broken chains forward, the dark green moss on the ground suddenly bulged upward.

Frontline shield bearers froze instantly.

A moment later, humanoid monsters pushed up from beneath the moss.

They looked like armored warriors clad in layered dark green vine plating. Their arms were twisted, thick vine whips, and their heads were hollow wooden masks.

“Bruce, hold the front shield line. Hanna, suppress the ranged enemy. Everyone advance steadily. LoneWolf, flank and support. Felix, get your explosives ready and target the moss beneath their feet.”

Felix asked quickly, “Blast their roots out?”

“Right.”
