They’d picked up stragglers after clearing the checkpoint on Floor 8. They reunited with LoneSparrow, Felix, Damian, and Daysh group on Floor 9. They regrouped With NorthWind’s eighteen-man team on Floor 10. Then they found Mineral, Nobody, and ToxicReaper on Floor 11.
By now, almost the entire guild was back together around Riley.
RedBean quickly finished the headcount.
“Total advance team: sixty-six people. Fifteen with minor injuries. All damaged gear is repaired and fully functional. We’re low o potions, but we can still handle two to three medium-scale fights.”
Sixty-six people. 1
This was no longer a small squad.
It was a large-scale advance force.
More people meant stronger firepower and higher fault tolerance.
But it also meant slower movement, bigger noise, and a far higher chance of drawing monster aggro.
NorthWind said in a grave tone, “Resistance only gets stronger past Floor 12. With our numbers, narrow terrain can split our formation apart. We need a set battle formation before we push forward.”
Hanna nodded and laid out the formation.
“Three rotating frontline shield groups. President leads the vanguard. Bruce commands the main shield team. NorthWind handle pathfinding and terrain judgment. LoneWolf runs flank scout duty, but don’t stray too far from the team.
“RedBean stays mid formation. ToxicReaper and Nobody hold the mid-rear, handle injuries on the spot.”
ToxicReaper opened his medicine chest.
“I’ve got a few custom anti-toxin potions. They’re a little weaker than shop-bought ones, but they work fine. Poison-type monster start spawning more on Floor 11 and up. I’ll hand these out to frontline and scout members first.”
Everyone knew the road ahead wouldn’t be easy.
They were pushing toward higher floors, aiming for the true safe zone on Floor 15–the last known location where PineappleBeer and TartKing had run into trouble.
Riley checked her comm panel one last time.
PineappleBeer’s icon was gray.
TartKing’s icon was gray
She put her comm card away and walked back to Good’s stali

polite smile the second she approached.
“You’re leaving?”
“We’re heading to Floor 12,” Riley said.
Good nodded gently. “Safe travels.”
“Thanks.”
Good gave a slight bow. “Looking forward to our next transaction, Burger Lady.”
Riley wasted no more time. She led the fully assembled team straight for the next floor.

The glowing gate in the center of the hall slowly rotated. Riley stepped through first, and the familiar weightless pull washed ov the group.
When their vision steadied, a narrow winding corridor stretched out before them.
NorthWind scanned their surroundings the moment he landed.
“Terrain here’s fragmented. Don’t spread out.”
Hanna issued quick orders.
“Shield team push forward. Ranks stay tight with the main group.”
Having so many guild members gathered was a huge advantage.
But there was a downside. Their presence instantly drew the attention of nearby monsters the second they spawned in.
A spider-like monster with a thick stone shell crawled down from the wall.
A second, then a third followed right after.
System labels popped up.
[Cracked Stone Spider]
Riley didn’t wait for them to fully surround the team.
“Ranged units suppress them. Don’t let them drop into the crowd.”
Hanna raised her crossbow and fired, aiming straight for the joints of the leading spider
The bolt bounced halfway off the stone shell, but still knocked the monster off its crawling trajectory
Felix tossed a smalt Molotov cocktail.
Flames burst along the wall, halting two more stone spiders in their tracks.
Riley charged forward, swinging her dual axes into the front legs of the closest landing sputer
The limb snapped clean off. The monster screeched loudly, its abdomen ballooning outwice

“Fall back!” NorthWind shouted urgently. “It’s about to spew something!”
The frontline shield bearers raised their barriers in unison.
