Chapter 553 Blockaded Path
“These dungeon monsters just get grosser and grosser,” he complained under his breath.
The team fought and advanced nonstop.
Floor 12 was far harder than the previous floors.

The monsters weren’t necessarily stronger one-on-one, but their ambushes were sneakier. They burst out from walls, groun cracks, and crystal clusters without warning, forcing the team to stay on high alert at all times.
Luckily, the Hope Guild fought like a well-oiled unit now.
Riley broke critical stalemates whenever danger flared up.
Hanna handled crowd suppression and battlefield command.
NorthWind read the terrain and steered them clear of obvious monster nests ahead of time.
Felix cleared blocking crystals and repelled monster hordes with minimal resources.
ToxicReaper’s potions worked wonders against the stone-type monsters.
Nobody kept saving the team from the mid-rear formation.
Her healing talent wasn’t the standard priest-style recovery. It leaned more toward battlefield first aid, stabilizing injuries and restoring movement speed in an instant. Whenever someone got piefced by Crystal Thorn Bugs, she rushed over immediately kept minor wounds from turning fatal.
Gear got steadily upgraded as they pushed through more fights
A few blue-tier drops from Floor 12 weren’t top-tier, but they easily outperformed the old equipment worn by newer guild members. RedBean logged every drop on the spot while Hanna assigned them based on each member’s role.
One shield bearer got new Stone Pattern Bracers, making his blocks far steadier.
A crossbowman received a purple-tier bolt gun with piercing stats, instantly boosting his firepower.
A pair of agility-focused light boots went to one of LoneWolf’s flank scouts for temporary use.
Riley didn’t let the team linger for gear distribution.
“Swap out what you can. Store the rest. Keep moving.”
Everyone understood.
Gear existed to keep them alive long enough to reach Floor 15, not to hold a looting party on Floor 12
The path to the central hall was easy to find.
The terrain was broken and fragmented, but the main road was obvious. Every branching pall ultimately

Glancing at his rough hand-drawn map, NorthWind spoke quickly.
“We’re nearing the outer edge of the hall.”
RedBean checked the time. “We’ve been advancing for nearly two hours since we left Floor 11.”
Felix wiped dust off his face. “Only two hours? Feels like we’ve been fighting all day.”
LoneWolf leaned against the wall to catch his breath. “I’m already craving the coffee back in the Floor 11 hall.”
Hanna shot him a look. “Did you even buy any?”
LoneWolf fell silent.
He hadn’t been willing to spend ten Frost Tokens for a single cup of Good’s coffee.”
Riley walked at the front and raised a hand to signal a full stop.
The light grew noticeably brighter at the end of the corridor.
It was the distinct glow reflecting off the central hall’s barrier.
The whole team perked up.
Entering the hall meant full status recovery, gear repairs, potion refills, and a chance to check their communications.
Nobody and ToxicReaper subconsciously glanced at Riley.
They all knew the real mission still lay far ahead.
But clearing Floor 12 safely was still a solid win.
NorthWind refused to relax.
He stared down the corridor, his brows slowly furrowing.
“Something’s off.”
“What is it?” Riley asked.
“The entrance to the Floor 12 central hall is way too narrow,” NorthWind explained, gesturing ahead.
Everyone followed his gaze.
He was right.
This floor’s central hall had none of the multiple entrances of Floor 8, nor the wide front plaza of Floor S
There was only one single passage leading to the hall barner
That meant every survivor trying to enter the hall had to come through this one spot
And right now, someone had set up a crude blockade directly in front of the only entrance
