Chapter 560 Lights On
Chapter 560 Lights On
Riley touched down, and the neat stone floors of the Floor 12 central hall were gone.

The second her feet hit the ground, she dropped low, twin blades appearing in her hands at
once.
It was completely silent all around her.
Riley frowned. The stone corridor looked familiar, yet not a single person was in sight.
The random dungeon teleport had split their entire team up across Floor 13.
She lifted her head and looked around carefully.
The walls were marked with dark mine textures and broken iron chains. Floor 13 was massive, way bigger than every floor before it.
It wasn’t just wider. Everything here was built on a larger scale.
The corridors were nearly twice the height of the old ones. Giant stone arch pillars lined the walls, with thick heavy chains strung between them.
Some chains hung broken in mid-air. Others dragged along the stone ground, leaving deep and shallow scratch marks across the tiles.
In the distance, she spotted a huge stone bell half-buried in the wall.
The bell was cracked and worn, covered in dull, dark green copper rust.
The ground was uneven too.
Parts of it were regular stone brick, while thin copper wires ran across other sections.
The wires stretched from the walls down into the earth, like some kind of hidden trigger
system.
Riley didn’t dare step on them randomly.
She first checked her exact landing spot.
A crumbled wall stood behind her.
A fallen stone pillar blocked her right side.

The corridor to her left opened up wide, but pale gray cracks snaked all over the floor there.
Riley crouched down and tapped one of the cracks lightly with the handle of an axe.
A thin wisp of white fog shot straight out of the crack.
The fog faded quickly.
But where the handle had touched it, a fine layer of frost spread instantly.
Riley pulled her weapon back at once.
These cracks were definitely dangerous, not ordinary floor damage.
She left them alone and didn’t test any more.
After making sure there were no monsters nearby, Riley pulled a single-use comms card from her Inventory.
She opened it up, and a translucent glowing screen popped into view.
Team messages started rolling in immediately, everyone reporting their status after the teleport.
[Hanna: Safe, solo spawn. Three forks in the path nearby. Giant bell carvings on the walls.]
[RedBean: Safe. Two new recruits with me, one has minor injuries. Moving to find cover now.]
[NorthWind: Safe. Terrain is huge. Found a stone platform that looks defendable. Scouting the area.]
[Bruce: Safe, four of us together. Saw the pale gray floor cracks and avoided them.]
[Felix: I’m safe too! Why is this floor covered in wires? Can I blow them up?]
[LoneSparrow: All good! Two guys right beside me. We almost fell into a pit on spawn.]
[Nobody: Safe. With ToxicReaper.]
[ToxicReaper: Gray vent cracks nearby. The fog they spit out causes numbness and frostbite. Don’t inhale it.]
[LoneWolf: Got lucky. Spawned near a loot chest.]

pairs, while seven moved in parties of three or more. Still checking remaining members.]
Riley let out a quiet breath of relief.
The team was scattered, but it could’ve been way worse.
At least everyone was checking in right away.
She typed a quick message.
[SpicyBurger: Don’t head for the central hall yet. Prioritize regrouping and holding defendable spots. Ignore random stray survivors. Floor 13 is full of traps. Stay off the pale gray cracks and don’t touch any copper wires.]
After sending the message, she pulled up the full ID list on the comms card.
Far more names were lit up online compared to the previous floors.
Hope Guild members were spread all over the area, their status lights flickering bright and dim.
Riley scanned the list line by line.
Hanna, NorthWind, Nobody, ToxicReaper…
One familiar member after another…
She kept scrolling, then froze mid-movement.
The two IDs she’d been desperate to find were lit up.
Pineapple Beer.
TartKing.
Riley stared at the two names for a beat, doubting her own eyes for a second.
But they were definitely active.
