Chapter 561 Hidden Dangers of Floor Thirteen
Chapter 561 Hidden Dangers of Floor Thirteen
Riley instantly ducked behind the broken wall to hide.
As soon as the bell’s tone faded, faint scraping noises drifted out from deep within the corridor.
It sounded like something dragging a hollow shell across the stone floor.
Riley held perfectly still, not making a single sound.
Moments later, a tall monster slowly stepped out from the left side passage.
It had a human-like shape, but no real skin or flesh.

Its body was patched together from stone shards, copper wires and hollow shell pieces. A broken half-bell was stuck in its chest, trembling softly with every step it took.
The creature had no eyes at all.
Its head was just an empty, hollow ring.
When it walked over the pale gray floor cracks, the white fog seeping out of them wobbled from its vibrations.
Riley held her breath.
The monster stopped at the fork in the path.
Its hollow head slowly turned toward the broken wall where Riley was hiding.
Riley didn’t move a muscle.
She gripped her axes low, fully ready to strike.
If the monster came any closer, she’d burst out and cut it down right away.
Thankfully, the creature only paused for a second before moving on.
Riley waited until the scraping sounds faded completely, then looked down at her comms card again.
A new message finally popped up on the glowing screen.

[PineappleBeer: I’m here.]
A small, relieved smile tugged at Riley’s lips, and she replied immediately.
[SpicyBurger: Where are you two? Are you safe? Is TartKing with you?]
She got a reply much faster this time.
[PineappleBeer: We’re together. We’re safe. Well, safe for the moment.]
Another message popped up right after.

[TartKing: Burger! I’m so glad you replied! How are you? Are you hurt? How’s everyone else in the guild?]
As she read her words, the heavy tension coiled in Riley’s chest finally faded.
[SpicyBurger: We fought our way up through every floor. The dungeon split all of us up when we teleported into Floor 13. Everyone’s checked in so far. No one’s died. Nobody and ToxicReaper already found me. They’re all safe right now.]
It took TartKing a little time to reply.
[TartKing: All sixty-six of you? That’s such a huge relief.]
Riley could practically hear how relieved she was through the screen.
TartKing always seemed bright and upbeat, like she could cheer anyone up no matter how bad things got.
But Riley knew that she was never some fragile, weak kid.
Pineapple Beer’s message showed up next.
[PineappleBeer: Floor 13’s teleport scatters teams randomly. It won’t preserve your original party formation. Splitting up is totally normal here.]
[SpicyBurger: Are you two stuck somewhere?]
[PineappleBeer: Not stuck. We’re in a puzzle dungeon, working to clear it. No immediate danger, but we can’t leave yet.]
[TartKing: It’s not 100% safe though! Mess up the puzzle, and it triggers traps and spawns monsters. We’ve got it under control for now.]

[PineappleBeer: She’s being nice about it.]
[TartKing: Pineapple!]
A genuine smile finally crossed Riley’s eyes as she read their banter.

Pineapple Beer was always quiet and cold to outsiders, acting distant like she could disappear any second.
But she was totally different around Riley and TartKing.
She’d warn them about danger, tease them a little, and even crack small jokes.
This familiar dynamic comforted Riley more than any simple safety check-in ever could.
Riley got straight to the point.
[SpicyBurger: Send me your location and the dungeon’s key features. I’ll come find you.]
Pineapple Beer sent a detailed reply right away.
[PineappleBeer: We’re in the northwest part of Floor 13. I can’t get exact coordinates. Before we entered, we passed a huge main corridor lined with hanging stone bells and covered in copper wiring on the ground. The dungeon is called Silent Bell Hall. Three half-buried stone bells stand outside it-one has no clapper. The door has twelve copper slots with a broken bell carving in the middle.]
[TartKing: No monsters right at the entrance, but Hollow Shell Patrols walk by every so often. Don’t fight them on your way here. They hunt by sound, and they’re such a hassle to deal with.]
Riley quickly memorized every detail.
Three half-buried stone bells.
One bell missing its clapper.
Twelve copper slots on the door.
A broken bell emblem in the center.
The markers were super clear, easy to recognize.
