The second piece of gear was a pair of knee pads.
They were dark copper with thick black armor along the edges, and a full ring of faint bell patterns carved on the inside.

[Active Trait: Silent Sprint]
[Silent Sprint: For 8 seconds, your movement noise is heavily reduced, and your burst speed gets a small boost. The effect ends early if you attack or take a heavy hit.]
[Passive Trait: Step Calibration]
[Step Calibration: You barely lose balance when moving over rough ground, trap floors and cracked terrain.]
Riley took one look at the gear and knew it was perfect for her.
There were no useless fancy effects. Every stat and ability fit her fighting style perfectly.
She fought on the front lines, took heavy hits, and moved through all kinds of messy terrain nonstop.
Her Mountain–Shatter Tactical Pants boosted her strength and defense, and is active skill could interrupt enemy attacks.
These new knee pads fixed one of her biggest flaws–making too much noise when moving or flanking enemies.
It was super useful on Floor 13, where monsters hunted almost entirely by sound. Silent Sprint gave her a huge advantage here.
She swapped out her old gear and put on the new pieces right away.
Once equipped, she could instantly feel her legs steadier, and every step far lighter than before.
She turned on Silent Sprint and jogged a full loop around the stone platform.
Her footsteps were nearly silent.
After that, she tested her Mountain–Shatter Step.
She held back her full power and stomped lightly on a chunk of black stone left by the boss.

The ground strook a little. A smart shockwave spread out, siiding the stone half a yard back and cracking its surface.
This skill stacked well with her original stomp ability. She could combo the two moves together.
She tried it right away and stomped the ground again.

Her Thunderclap and Mountain–Shatter Step triggered at the same time. Her damage nearly doubled, sending electric arcs and shockwaves blasting out in all directions.
Riley’s eyes lit up.
This combo worked amazingly well for her frontline playstyle.
It let her break enemy shield formations, stagger mechanical mobs and heavy monsters, and create quick openings for the whole
team.
She lowered her foot and nodded.
“These are really good.”
TartKing glanced back and forth between her own new gear and the awesome drops Pineapple Beer and Riley had gotten.
She grinned widely. “We totally struck gold this time.”
PineappleBeer nodded seriously, which was pretty rare for her.
“Three platinum chests and six legendary items. Our gear is way aboye our current level range.”
Riley stashed all the rare materials in her bag.
“Don’t tell anyone the details of this dungeon run.”
TartKing nodded quickly. “Got it.”
PineappleBeer shrugged casually.
“I’ll just say we spent ages fixing clocks in here.”
TartKing laughed and chimed in. “It wore our clock repairer out completely.”
She giggled at her own joke, and even Riley cracked a small smile.
Now that they’d cleared the Silent Bell Hall, the inner chamber no longer felt tense and oppressive. The twelve copper bells hung quietly overhead, and the nearby teleport array glowed softly, waiting for them to leave.
The three stood by the platform in their brand–new gear, looking way stronger than when they’d first entered the dungeon.
This was the first time all three of them had been fully reunited since descending these floors.
No one said anything overly sappy or dramatic.
But Riley felt totally relaxed watching her teammates test their new gear, tease each other, and laugh together.
“Once we get back to the snowfield, I’m taking a proper vacation,” TartKing said. “How about a beach party?”
