Chapter 580 Finally Safe to Rest

“You’re overreacting,” Pineapple Beer said flatly.

“How am I? You didn’t warn me at all!” TartKing shot back.

“An assassin doesn’t announce when she’s vanishing,” PineappleBeer replied. “It’s unprofessional.”

Riley cut in with a smile. “You don’t need to play professional with your own team.”

Pineapple Beer went quiet for a moment.

“Alright.”

Her answer was soft and quiet.

TartKing heard it, grinned, and dropped the teasing.

The team pushed onward, moving far more smoothly than they’d planned.

Having every guild member back together made all the difference.

Even when two Hollow Shell Patrols showed up at once, the team stayed calm and organized. Hanna had the ranged players create fake noise to distract the monsters. NorthWind’s crew cleared up the main path. Riley held the dangerous front line to secure everyone, while PineappleBeer circled around the back to scout their patrol route. In the end, the whole team passed through without a single injury.

Two hours later, bright light glowed at the end of the tunnel.

They’d reached the central hall on Floor 13.

Everyone’s mood instantly lifted.

This hall’s entrance was way grander than the ones on previous floors. Two broken bell tower pillars stood on either side. There were no bells inside the stone frames, but soft light seeped out through every crack. A light barrier covered the entrance, blocking out all the dangerous dungeon energy outside. A few stray survivors lingered nearby, but there were no enemy guards in sight.

The second everyone stepped through the barrier, every last person felt a huge weight lift off their shoulders.

They were inside the safe zone now.

This central hall was much bigger than all the previous ones. Instead of a regular domed ceiling, huge circular stone rings stacked up overhead. Dozens of small copper bells hung between the rings, completely still. No longer active or dangerous, they just hung there like quiet decorations.

In the middle of the hall stood the portal to the next floor, with a mechanical countdown timer right beside it.

But nobody bothered checking the timer.

Chapter 580 Finally Safe to Rest

All anyone could think about was one thing–they could finally rest.

Smooth stone tiles covered the ground, with faint copper lines running down the center leading to several divided resting areas. The spaces were fitted with benches, stone platforms, and small semi–private nooks perfect for lying down.

Warm copper lamps lit up the corners. Their glow was soft and cozy, nothing like the cold, trap–lined copper wires filling the tunnels outside.

NPC shops lined the hall’s edges. The general store, potion shop, and blacksmith were all open as usual.

There was also a new stall called “Silent Repair“. It was made specifically to fix gear damaged by bell bugs, copper wires, and floor traps on this floor.

Still, Riley didn’t head for the shops right away.

She turned to check on her team.

All sixty–eight members filed into the hall one after another.

Some dropped straight to the floor the second they entered the safe zone. Others leaned against the walls and let out long, tired sighs.

A few injured members who’d been pushing through the pain finally relaxed, and full exhaustion crashed over them.

TartKing dropped her playful attitude and got to work healing the wounded.

“Don’t fall asleep yet. Let’s finish treatment first.”

Her voice stayed sweet, but firm and steady.

“You, sit down. Your bandages are loose.

“LoneSparrow, don’t eat the healing pastries as snacks. Injured members get first dibs.

“Bruce, you can set your shield down. No need to hold it while you rest.”

Bruce realized he’d been gripping his shield tightly this whole time. He scratched his head and smiled awkwardly. “Old habit.”

Hanna started splitting the resting areas by team roles.

“Frontline here, ranged over there, wounded in the inner section. We’ll take turns on night watch. I’ve got the first shift.”

“You need rest too,” Riley said.

Hanna tried to argue, but one look from Riley stopped her. She paused and nodded.

“Fine. I’ll take the second shift.”
