Chapter 583 Standing Together
PineappleBeer dropped the topic and didn’t push her further.
She fell quiet for a moment before speaking softly. “We’ve been rushing nonstop this whole time.”
Riley couldn’t argue with that.

Ever since the snowfield monster outbreaks, all players had been forcibly teleported. After that, they’d climbed dungeon floors one after another, barely getting any real rest.
She’d worried constantly about PineappleBeer and TartKing.
She’d stressed over the folks back at the snowfield camp.
She’d fretted over every single member of Hope Guild.
Every time someone’s ID went dark offline, she’d wonder if something terrible had happened, something she hadn’t been able to stop.
She’d kept all these worries bottled up, so no one saw how much they weighed on her.
But when she finally let her guard down and slept deeply, all that suppressed stress spilled out in her dream.
PineappleBeer’s eyes drifted to the glowing portal in the middle of the hall.
“We’ll be okay once we reach Floor 15.”
Her voice was calm and steady.
“That’s where this wave of Black Fog finally stops. All the connectors, trade systems and map supplies will be centralized there. Once we get there, everyone can rest properly and wait for the timer to run out before heading back to the snowfield.”
Riley stared at her for a long moment.
“What comes after Floor 15?”
PineappleBeer didn’t answer right away.
She knew exactly what Riley was asking.
Floor 20.
She’d mentioned it vaguely before there was something hugely important hidden there.
Riley had never forgotten.
After a short pause, PineappleBeer said, “We’ll find out once we get there.”
Riley waited quietly for her to go on.
“The higher we go, the deadlier each floor gets,” PineappleBeer explained. “Once we pass Floor 15, the fog won’t press us as hard, but the monsters get way stronger. Numbers alone won’t be enough to get through some of those areas.”

-She glanced at the sleeping guild members scattered around the rest area.
“I don’t want to drag everyone into that kind of danger.”
“So you were gonna go alone?” Riley asked.
PineappleBeer didn’t deny it.
“If the chance showed up, I could scout it solo. I don’t wanna deal with these haunting memories.”
Riley looked her straight in the eyes.
She’d originally planned to talk her down with reason. But after having that lonely dream, she totally understood how PineappleBeer felt.
“We’re past the point of doing dangerous things alone.”
PineappleBeer turned to meet her gaze.
Riley’s tone was gentle but firm, leaving no room for debate.
“At the very least, I’m coming with you, and so is Tartking.”
PineappleBeer fell silent.
She looked at Riley, then down at TartKing, who was still fast asleep on Riley’s shoulder.
Tartking was completely out, peaceful and relaxed.
PineappleBeer stared at her for a second, then nodded.
“Alright.”
Riley softened her gaze.
“Don’t carry all the weight by yourself.”
“You too,” PineappleBeer whispered back.
Riley paused briefly
Their eyes met, and neither of them brought it up again.
TartKing mumbled sleepily in her dreain, “Stop talking… I’ll make it for you… fresh and hot…”
A faint, soft smile tugged at PineappleBeer’s lips as she watched her.
Riley looked down too

Asleep. Tartking looked extra cute. But everyone on the team knew better this was the same girl who could charge headfirst into battle with a giant greatsword
“She’s worn out from all this,” Riley said quietly

PineappleBeer hummed in agreement.
“You both are,” Riley added.
PineappleBeer didn’t argue.
The two leaned against the pillar and chatted softly for a while longer.

They talked about the monsters, the traps in the Silent Bell Hall, what the connectors might be used for on Floor 15, and how the snowfield camp was holding up.
Riley brought up Neeko, Twiggy, Ash and C.P., and PineappleBeer listened quietly.
C.P. had grown really big lately. TartKing had even made special desserts for it before. Pineapple Beer finally spoke up, “It probably doesn’t like overly sweet stuff.”
