There were no copper lines or engraved clock patterns on the walls, unlike Floor 13. Gone were the dense stone pillar traps that filled Floor 14 too.

This area looked plain and straightforward.

But it was an eerie, empty kind of clean.

NorthWind squatted down to check the scratch marks on the ground, then rubbed the fine stone dust along the wall.

“Big monsters pass through here often,” he said. “These tracks are fresh. We shouldn’t stick around.”

PineappleBeer walked a few steps ahead, scanning the rock cracks on the left and the broken wall sections on the right.

“There’s a treasure chest over on the right.”

Everyone turned to look. Behind a half-collapsed stone platform, two golden treasure chests sat tucked in rock crevices, right next to their main path.

Riley glanced over the area quickly. “Open them.”

Pineapple Beer and LoneWolf moved in from both sides. After confirming there were no nearby traps, RedBean sent two team members forward to unlock the chests.

Inside were Frost Tokens, two high-grade recovery potions, one basic defense scroll, one piece of purple-tier gear, and a few high-end crafting ores.

It wasn’t the map they desperately needed, but the loot was still solid.

One player whispered, “Floor 15 is totally different. Even random choot

The team pressed on through the black-rock tunnel.

Everything went surprisingly smooth at first.

They found two more chests close to their route. The first one gave them potions and gear repair parts. The second dropped purple bracers, a purple necklace, and a pouch of Frost Tokens. None of it was game-changing loot, but after so many back-to-back fights, any supplies helped a ton.

Best of all, they only ran into two monster groups in the first half of their advance.

The first group had four level 29 Bonewarden Sentinels. They were stronger than the ones on Floor 14, wielding thicker, heavier stone spears. Still, there weren’t many of them. Bruce’s shield team held their initial spear charge. Riley charged straight down the middle. Hanna picked off weak spots in their skulls from range, and PineappleBeer circled behind to slice their joints apart. The whole fight ended in under two minutes.

The second group was three level 30 Darkspine Bulls. They charged noticeably faster than the ones they’d fought before.

Luckily, the tunnel was wide enough. NorthWind spotted their charge path early. Felix set off two small blasts to knock one bull off course. Riley took the opening and used Mountain- Shatter Step to stop the lead bull’s charge cold. The team split the three bulls apart and took them down one by one. A couple frontline fighters got banged up from the impact, but TartKing healed them right away. They also popped a defense scroll, so no one took serious damage.

These two easy wins boosted the team’s morale.

“We can handle this.”

“They’re strong, but not too tough for us.”

“We must be getting close to the central hall.”

“I really hope we find a map soon.”

“The central hall on Floor 15 is definitely bigger than the others. Wonder how the connector works.”

“Maybe we can contact the snowfield camp. There are still civilians there. We could check how things look outside.”

The whole team fell quiet the second those words left someone’s mouth.

Everyone’s minds drifted back to the snowfield camp, right before they’d been teleported into the dungeon.

The civilians were still trapped there, surrounded by endless hordes of monsters.

Right now, the only thing they could do was push forward and reach the central hall alive.

Riley heard the quiet chatter but didn’t look back.

She tightened her grip on her Storm Splitter Dual Axes and kept walking without slowing down.

After another 30 minutes of steady progress, things suddenly went wrong.

LoneWolf was the first to pick up on the danger.

He jumped down from a broken wall on the left, landing heavier than usual.

“Monsters up ahead.”

Hanna held up a hand, and the entire team stopped dead in their tracks.

Riley asked, “How many?”

LoneWolf’s face turned serious. “Seven Bonewarden Sentinels straight ahead. At least three Darkspine Bulls hiding in the rock cracks to the front right. There are Crystal Thorn Bugs on the high left ledges too, but I can’t count them exactly.”

NorthWind frowned. “This doesn’t make sense. The last two monster groups were spaced far apart. Why is everything spawning all at once now?”

RedBean checked her route notes. “We haven’t strayed off the main path at all.”
