Survival Queen of the Frozen Wastes novel Chapter 610

Chapter 610 Broken LongDistance Vision

Nearly half an hour passed before Riley reached the front of the line.

An elf male NPC oversaw her rune platform

He had his silver hair tied back and wore a dark.green robe. His cold demeanor was somewhat similar to Good’s. He glanced up at Riley and spoke in a flat tone.

Communication, trade, footage playback, teleportation. Choose one.

Contact guild survivors,Riley said.

The NPC lifted a hand and activated the platform.

Enter guild tag or target ID. Basic search costs 50 Frost Tokens. Successful connection requires additional fees.

Riley paid the tokens, entered the Hope Guild’s tag, then typed in several member IDs she still hoped to confirm.

Runes on the platform lit up in circling waves.

Moments later, they dimmed out one by one.

No signal,the NPC stated plainly.

Riley’s expression darkened. No survivors alive, or too far away?

No signal, the NPC repeated. Targets may be deceased, out of communication range, or blocked by severe spatial interference. The system only returns results, not explanations.

Riley said nothing.

She tried several more IDs.

The result remained the same every time.

No signal.

This all but confirmed that aside from the 62 guild members already present, no other active Hope Guild survivors could be eached within the dungeon.

She stopped wasting tokens.

Can I contact the outer camp?Riley asked.

The NPC finally spared her a second glance.

Crossspatial footage scan. One hundred Frost Tokens per attempt. No guarantee of realtime feed, clarity, or stable duration

Riley caught the critical detail. It’s not live?

Crossspatial arrays consume massive energy, the NPC replied. Catching a single glimpse is already plenty

Riley had no choice but to pay. She provided her camp’s exact coordinates.

The rune platform flared far brighter than before.

Runes spun along the platform’s edge, and a translucent light screen materiatized in the center of the booth.

The screen was initially filled with static white noise

Slowly, the image stabilized.

Riley saw the snowfield.

She saw the familiar stone walls and the outline of her camp.

Even so, her fingers tightened the second the scene cleared.

The camp still stood.

But most of it lay in ruins.

Large sections of the outer fence had collapsed. The obsidian walls bore heavy crash marks. Several automated defense turrets tilted crooked, and some were broken apart. Monster corpses littered the ground outside the walls and gaps, piled thick everywhere.

Snow was stained dark with blood.

Multiple building roofs were damaged. One side of the warehouse had caved in. The rows of wooden cabins also showed clear signs of brutal combat.

Riley’s gaze turned colder and colder.

The footage was captured from a topdown view, blurry and unstable. She could not make out individual faces, but she spotted moving figures around the camp.

Some were clearing monster corpses.

Some were repairing the broken walls.

Several smaller figures moved between the warehouse and wooden cabins.

More than one person remained.

People were still alive in the camp.

The heavy weight in Riley’s heart finally eased by half.

The next second, the screen flickered and cut out abruptly.

The platform fell silent once more.

Riley looked up at once. Why did it stop?

Footage terminated,the NPC said.

Can I continue? I’ll pay more tokens.

A new search can be run the NPC said. But there is no guarantee the same coordinates can be captured again. Cross.spatial footage is not live surveillance. What you see might be from some time ago, or an older stabilized clip.

Riley frowned. No way to communicate?

No.

No audio transmission?

No.

Is there any other method of contact?

The NPC spoke flatly. If your target is a survivor, use comms. For all non.survivor targets, it can teleport inanimate objects through.

Riley reacted instantly. I can send items over?

Inanimate object teleportation. Lock designated coordinates. Base charge 200 Frost Tokens per use. Additional fees apply based

on item size, weight, and energy fluctuation. Living creatures and message data cannot be transmitted.

Two hundred tokens.

Riley’s brows twitched.
