From what she’d seen in the footage, hunger was not their main problem. The monster tide had shattered their defenses. What they needed right now was combat power and repairs.
Building materials?
Wood, stone, and steel could be sent through, but there was a limit on how much per transfer. Prices scaled with weight, which would cost a fortune. Worse, the teleport had a 10 to 30–yard error margin. There was no guarantee the materials would land exactly where they were needed for repairs.
Riley’s mind raced fast.
She needed something that could help the camp immediately, and it had to be an inanimate object.
She suddenly thought of C.P.
The Variant Flame Wolf.
If the camp still stood, C.P. and Neeko were its only remaining major combat forces.
C.P. loved Magic Beast Cores. He drew energy from them, and consuming these special materials boosted his growth.
After gorging himself during the last monster tide, his size had visibly increased.
A stable, strong C.P. could defend the camp far better than any ordinary weapon.
Magic Beast Cores and Elemental Crystals were inanimate.
They were small, brimming with massive energy, and perfect for teleportation.
C.P. also had a sharp sense of smell. Even if the items teleported off–course, he would find them for sure.
Riley sent a group message to all guild members through the communicator
[SpicyBurger: Everyone, collect all spare Magic Beast Cores, Elemental Crystals, and high–energy monster materials you have. Prioritize fire–attributed, elemental, and magic energy crystals. Send them all to me. I’m teleporting them back to the camp.
The chat blew up instantly.
[Felix: Teleport back to the camp? We can contact them now?]
[RedBean: Are the original residents alright?]
[Bruce: I have two energy bone crystals dropped by Darkspine Bulls.]
[Tartking: Beast Cores? For C.P.? Are Neeko and the others okay?!
Riley replied to Tartking’s message.

[SpicyBurger: Yes, for C.P. The camp is still here. Most of it is destroyed, but some people are alive. I can’t see the exact situation clearly.]
The channel went quiet for a split second.
Then messages flooded in even faster.
[LoneSparrow: I have three Fire Beast Cores! Sending them right now!]
[Felix: Damn, if C.P. can eat these, we’re definitely sending every last one.]
In no time, everyone traded their collected materials to Riley through the communicator system.
Riley checked the inventory.
She had Fire Beast Cores, regular Beast Cores, several Elemental Crystals, and multiple high–energy core fragments. The quantity was not massive, but every piece was compact and easy to transport.
Riley asked the NPC, “How many Frost Tokens for this teleport?”
The NPC glanced at the items.
“Six hundred and sixty–six Frost Tokens.”
Riley was shocked. “The base price was 200, right?”

The NPC did not even look up at her. “Two hundred is the starting price. Energy fluctuations incur extra charges.”
Riley had no choice but to agree.
These damn profiteers better be former survivors. Once I grow that powerful, I’ll get every last bit of it back, with interest.
She had no time to waste arguing now.
Tokens could be earned again.
If the people at camp fell, they were gone forever.
The NPC collected the tokens and placed all the cores and crystals in the center of the rune platform. The formation lit up again, swirling with obvious spatial ripples.
Seconds later, the small bag of materials vanished.
Riley asked at once, “Did it go through”
NPC said, “Teleportation complete.”
“Can I check the footage?”
“Image retrieval costs extra. Success is not guaranteed.”
Riley stared at the NPC.
His expression stayed calm.
