Chapter 622 Haggling for Supplies
Good grabbed the list and skimmed it, his expression unchanging.
“Nice variety, mid–tier quality, but you’ve got decent bulk.”
LoneWolf grumbled, “That’s a pretty harsh way to put it.”
RedBean stepped hard on his foot to shut him up.
Riley turned to Good. “We need better gear and supplies suited for the higher floors.”
Good looked up and scanned Riley, Pineapple Beer, then TartKing.
“Higher floors?”
He smiled faintly.
“Guess my words last night didn’t scare you off for good.”
Riley said calmly, “It scared us plenty. That’s why we’re here to upgrade our loadout.”
Good held her gaze, his smile softening a little.
“Smart move. Folks who respect danger and prep for it tend to stay alive longer.”
He set the list on the counter and fiddled with a calculator tucked beneath it.

“I’ll take these materials. I can pay you in Frost Tokens, and you can browse my gear and items. Fair warning though–I don’t do cheap bargains.”
Riley instantly shifted into business mode.
“We can work out a fair price.”
Good looked back at her.
Riley kept her expression steady. “We’ve traded with you before. We know how this works.”
Good chuckled.
“Great. Let’s hash this out slowly then.”
Riley stood aside and watched. She watched Good appraise each material one by one. She watched RedBean cross–reference prices with her ledger. She watched LoneWolf staring regretfully at the loot they’d bleed and sweat to get.
PineappleBeer stood calmly at her side, completely unfazed.
Outside the floor 15 central hall, sunlight still streamed down over the small town’s streets.
Right now, their goal was simple: trade all their hoarded dungeon drops for every edge they could get to survive the higher Roots
Materials quickly piled high on Good’s counter.

RedBean spread out her list, scribbling notes nonstop.
Riley and the others emptied every spare material and item from their backpacks.
A moment later, she pushed the list forward.
“These are all the materials we’re willing to trade.”
Good flicked his wrist, and the list floated right into his hand.

He read quickly, but thoroughly. After every page flip, he picked up the corresponding material to check its condition. Some he glanced at once and set aside. Others he studied for several seconds.
“Solid–grade Bone–White Crystal Ore.
“These copper wires are too worn out. I can only price them as scrap.
“Intact Crystal Thorn Bugs‘ spikes get a better rate. Floor 15 loot still holds value on the other floors.
“Good quantity on these Vine Wardens‘ scales, but their tier’s too low.”
Riley stood quietly and didn’t interrupt.
Once Good finished appraising the first batch, he gave his final quote.
“Sixteen thousand, eight hundred Frost Tokens.”
LoneWolf’s eyes blew open at once.
“That’s all?”
Good said flatly, “You can haul all this outside, set up a stall, and wait for buyers if you want.”
LoneWolf fell silent.
They had plenty of time. What they lacked was quick, usable cash.
RedBean refused to settle for the price. She flipped to the next page of her list.
“You lowballed the broken clock gears and silent copper core fragments. These only drop from the special puzzle dungeon an Floor 13. Regular shops don’t carry them. You double–checked them yourself–you clearly have a use for these.”
Good lifted his gaze to meet hers.
“Price these separately. Don’t lump them in with generic scrap.”
Good smirked faintly. “Nice catch.”
He tapped his calculator again.
“Add 2,300 tokens.”
RedBean shook her head. “Three thousand five hundred.”
