Chapter 623 The Shadow Cloak
The big number didn’t make Riley relax–one bit.
“Did we set aside enough for the guild?”

RedBean nodded. “It’s enough. We’ve set aside funds for inn lodging, gear repairs, basic potions, and post–mission emergency use. These 53,920 Frost Tokens are all yours for the higher floors
She paused for a moment, then pulled out several sealed pouches from her backpack.
“On top of that, every team chipped in their spare high–tier combat items. We didn’t empty our reserves. The guild still has plenty saved for itself, so don’t worry.”
She laid the items out one by one.
High–grade recovery potions.
High–grade mental recovery potions.
Medium defense scrolls.
Short–range speed boost scrolls.
Potions of slowness.
Paralysis antidotes.
Single–use barrier cards.
They also had a handful of special small trinkets. None of them were overpowered, but they could turn the tide and save lives in a pinch.
TartKing’s heart ached as she stared at the full pile.
These items hadn’t appeared out of thin air.
Some were the life–saving reserves everyone had stockpiled this whole time. Others were precious extras they’d reluctantly pulled from their own inventories. The members staying behind weren’t safe by any stretch. Even camped out in the Floor 15 central hall, they’d be stuck cleaning up a huge mess once they returned to base.
Yet they’d still pooled all these supplies.
RedBean turned to Riley.
“Hanna wanted me to pass on a message.”
Riley lifted her gaże.
“Don’t hold back on using them,” RedBean passed the message along. Spend them whenever you need to. These items exist to turing the three of you home alive. Don’t be cheap with them “
Riley fell silent for a second, then nodded

understand.”
After laying eyes on their full budget and stacked supplies, Good’s smile widened.
“You’re dead–set on pushing deeper, huh?”
Riley didn’t deny it.
“We need solid gear to pull this off.”
Good cleared a spot on his counter.
“I don’t usually sell finished equipment.”
Riley watched him, saying nothing.
Good kept talking. “Finished gear sells great in this transit town, but it’s more trouble than it’s worth. Pricing is a pain, explaining stats is tedious, and dealing with customers who want gear they can’t afford is the worst part. I only take materials and special items here. I don’t sell finished equipment.”
LoneWolf grumbled, “Can’t believe a shopkeeper hates easy money.”
Good ignored the comment.
He reached behind the counter and pulled two long boxes out of a hidden nook.
“That said, I’ve got a few personal pieces I’ve collected over time.”
RedBean instantly perked up.
Good opened the first long box.
Inside rested a neatly folded dark gray short cloak.
Thin silver trim lined the edges. It didn’t glow brightly, but looked sharp and clean. Unfolded, it hung just below the waist, but to never restrict fast movement. Its most unique feature was the faint shadowtexture woven into the inner fabric, like dark flowing water sealed inside the cloth.
Good explained, “Gap Retreat Short Cloak. Orange legendary gear. Three bonus stats: Agility, Spirit, and Constitution.”
RedBean’s head shot up. Three–stat orange gear was incredibly rare.
Riley locked in as well.
Good tapped the cloak once, and its full stats popped into view.

Affix 2. Fading Shadow. After sprinting or fast movement, your presence fades briefly, making you harder for enemies to lock onto.]
[Affix 3: Light–Footed. Lowers stamina drain during continuous movement.]
PineappleBeet’s gaze fixed on the cloak
This gear was perfect for assassin–type builds.
It boosted survival, stealth, and stamina sustain all at once.
She already had the Time–Severing Shadow Blade and Shadow Gap Ring, granting her top–tier burst damage and ambush capability. But their fights in outer Floor 15 proved one thing–monsters were far tankier now, and battles dragged on way longer. She couldn’t keep burning through stamina and skills to carry every fight.
This cloak filled every single gap in her build.
