Chapter 646 The Desolate Safe Hall
Having the map boosted their progress by a huge margin.
Pineapple Beer no longer needed to test random paths and risk getting lost.

Riley took point. Whenever stray mobs appeared, she either pulled them away or locked them down briefly. They slipped past every fight they could avoid.
Along the way, they passed a high–density resource zone.
It was a sunken underground warehouse filled with glowing ore veins, broken gear crates, and several clearly upgraded treasure chests. Even from the outside, they could see three different colored resource glows flickering inside.
TartKing’s eyes lit up instantly.
“Whoa… look at all that stuff.”
Pineapple Beer pressed a hand firmly on her head and pushed her forward.
“Elite mob inside.”
TartKing stumbled ahead while being pushed.
“I wasn’t saying I wanted to go in!”
Riley glanced deep into the warehouse.
A massive guard, twice the size of a regular gray–armored sentinel, stood at the back. It dragged a broad greatsword on the ground, with dark red crystals embedded in its chest armor.
This was definitely not a fight they should pick right now.
They were strong enough to win, but that didn’t mean they should waste the time.
Floor 16 was full of tempting bait.
Resource nodes, rare ores, high–tier chests–everywhere you looked.
But every single temptation came with deadly risks that could easily drag players down and wear them
out.
They only had two days left to clear multiple floors.
The three of them bypassed the warehouse and kept moving toward the marked route.
Near the outer edge of the plaza, a pack of blade–legged bugs nearly cut them off.
Pineapple Beer heard the scraping of hard limbs against stone behind the walls early and signaled
everyone to stop.

The trio ducked into a small doorless hut to hide.
Iness than ten seconds, seven or eight blade–legged bugs crawled past the outer walls.
TartKing held her breath, not even daring to let her staff glow too brightly.

One bug paused right by the window. It twisted its head halfway around and hooked its bladed legs onto the window ledge.
Riley tightened her grip on her axe handles.
Pineapple Beer stayed still, her Breath–Bite Wolftooth Necklace ready to mark the monster at any second.
TartKing switched her greatsword into her hand, ready to fight.
The bug lingered for several tense seconds before finally crawling away with the rest of its pack.
TartKing slowly exhaled once they were gone.
After crossing the outer perimeter of the plaza, the central hall finally showed up at the end of their mapped path.
The entrance to Floor 16’s central hall looked extremely plain.
A simple white portal embedded in a crumbling wall.
There were no guards posted right at the entrance, and barely any survivors in sight.
Only two gray–armored sentinels patrolled back and forth in the distance like ordinary roaming mobs.
Riley’s team hid in the alley and observed for a moment.
“We rush in the second they turn around,” Pineapple Beer said.
TartKing gripped her staff tightly. “It’s safe inside, right?”
“We’ll find out once we’re in,” Riley replied.
The moment the two sentinels turned their backs, the three charged forward at the same time.
Silent Rush, Shadow Shift, Dawn Prayer Blessing.
Three figures darted swiftly past the ruined walls.
By the time the sentinels heard the noise and spun around, Riley was already right in front of the portal.
A scythe swept toward them from behind.
Tart King quickly cast Silent Bell Blessing, throwing up a barrier to block the incoming strike.
Pineapple Beer was the last to step into the portal. She twisted back and slashed with her Time–Severing

Shadow Blade, forcing the chasing sentinel back half a step.
Bright white light swallowed all three of them.
They had arrived at the Floor 16 central hall.

As soon as they landed, TartKing leaned against the wall, barely keeping herself from collapsing onto the floor.
Riley also let out a quiet breath of relief.
This central hall looked similar to the safe halls on previous floors.
A stone dome ceiling, a central teleportation portal, resting areas, several NPC stalls, and empty stone benches scattered in the corners. The only obvious difference was how eerily empty it felt.
There were barely any stalls open for business.
