Chapter 649 Wind Corridor of Broken Bridges
The solo survivor finally lifted his head and glanced at her.
“Us poor folks don’t get choices. A single fizard tooth sells for a good price. This is big money for me.”

Right after speaking, he flicked his wrist. The fishing line tightened around a Bone Lizard’s neck and dragged it out of the water. Before it could hit the ground, a short blade slid out of his sleeve, stabbing cleanly into the crack in the lizard’s skull.
Fast and flawless.
Riley didn’t bother him.
Players like him rarely survived in these dungeons. But the ones who made it out alive were always tough and unpredictable
oppor ents.
Sticking to the map, they avoided the deepest parts of the water canals. They reached the Floor 17 central hall in even less time than it had taken on Floor 16.
The Floor 17 central hall was just as dead and quiet.
There were even fewer stalls than the previous floor. Only one potion shop remained open, and the general goods booth barely had any stock.
PineappleBeer went first to exchange their extra dropped materials for tokens, while Riley and TartKing wandered around the
stalls.
Off to the side, a dwarf repair NPC sat on a stone platform. He looked up the second the two walked over.
“Need gear fixed?”
TartKing spotted the cracked knee guard on Riley’s armor, nicked by previous bone spur traps.
“Yes, we do.”
Riley had been about to say it wasn’t necessary.
But TartKing already pushed her straight toward the repair station
“Just pay the tokens and get it fixed.”
Riley fell silent.
Their gains from Floor 17 hadn’t been insane, but every single drop was practical and useful.
The Floor 17 basic map had saved them tons of detours and time.
The high-grade mental recovery potions refilled the stamina PineappleBeer and TartKing had burned through. The two small obstacle-clearing talismans were extremely valuable in the trap-ridden Wet Bone Canal. On top of that, they’d collected a handful of Bone Lizard Teeth, Canal Bone Stitching Fibers, and a rare Wet Bone Core looted from a submerged chest.
The Wet Bone Core was a purple-tier crafting material.

Its description stated it could craft gear with waterproof, corrosion-resistant, and bone-spur piercing defense properties.
After a ten-minute rest, the three of them headed straight for Floor 18. They didn’t have much time left in their dungeon run.
The second they spawned on Floor 18, the ground suddenly vanished beneath TartKing’s feet.
Her stomach dropped in panic. /
In the blink of an eye, Riley grabbed the back of her collar and yanked her backward.
TartKing’s feet landed firmly on solid ground again. She glanced down and saw a bottomless crack right in front of her toes.
Wind gusted upward from the chasm, carrying a faint blue glow.
“Thanks, Burger.”
TartKing’s tone was far more obedient than usual.
Riley let go of her collar. “Don’t move recklessly.”
This floor was officially named the Broken Bridge Wind Corridor, according to the map they unlocked shortly after spawning.
The terrain here was way more dangerous than Floor 17’s.
The whole area was covered in fractured stone bridges, floating walkways, and wind-eroded stone steps. Most paths looked connected at first glance, only for players to find a two- to three-yard gap halfway across. Chaotic wind blasted upward from the chasms, shifting from gentle to violent without warning. Strong gusts were enough to throw anyone off balance mid-step.
The monsters here were also a completely new threat.
Wind Bone Falcons soared out of the deep cracks. They looked like skeletal birds with long, hollow bone wings, diving at targets silently.
Broken Bridge Knights patrolled the floating bridges endlessly, riding headless bone horses and wielding lances with an extremely ong attack range.
The most annoying enemy by far were the Thread Hanging Spiders. Instead of regular webs, they strung invisible tbeads between broken bridges. Anyone who stepped on them would get instantly tangled and dragged straight toward the bottomless chasm.
Tartking nearly got pulled off the edge just ten minutes after entering Floor 18.
When the invisible thread coiled around her ankle, she reacted fast and switched to her greatsword, slashing down hard.
The thread didn’t break.
t was shockingly tough and Rexible.
PineappleBeer had been about to use Shadow Shift to dash forward and take out the spider, but her rune token suddenly fared
