Swapping a Broken Heart for a New Start novel Chapter 1317

While Camila Davis was caught up in her own happiness, she couldn't help but feel a pang of worry for Dennis Williams. Sometimes, she wished he would take it easy and not push himself so hard. But Dennis always took it in stride. To him, everything he did was worth it.

Audrey Williams listened to their conversation with a bright smile. “This is really wonderful,” she said. “Camila, you and Dennis have to stay happy together. Promise me that.”

Camila nodded, her smile impossibly sweet. “We will. I know we will.”

Aurora Robinson, hearing all this, couldn't stop herself from joining in with a soft laugh. “I think it’s amazing too. I remember when I first met you, Camila. Everyone in Cabinda was talking behind your back. Now, the whole elite circle probably envies you!”

Mr. Williams had been single for so many years, the dream man of every heiress in town. Yet out of everyone, he chose Camila Davis, and only her.

Sarah Brown lifted her chin and shot a proud look at her friend. “Of course he did. Camila’s always been worth it. Those people in Cabinda never saw how amazing she is. Guess it's time they woke up and saw the truth.”

The wedding was set on a breathtaking private island. It was a place Dennis’s mother had longed for before she passed away. Years later, Dennis bought the island and slowly turned it into a real-life fairy tale, doing most of the work himself. There were mountains and the sea, and the manor by the water looked as if it belonged in a storybook.

The morning of the wedding arrived bright and sunny. Birds sang in the trees. Close friends and family were the only ones invited, which made everything feel even more intimate. Waves rolled up the shore, leaving soft layers of white foam behind before sliding quietly back out to sea. A light breeze brushed against the flower arches set up along the beach, spreading the scent of fresh blooms everywhere.

Mr. Harris from Harrisburg had been invited to lead the ceremony, and you could hear the excitement in his voice as he stood before the small crowd.

“You know, it’s funny. The bride and groom first met because of a chance matchmaker’s push. None of us expected it, but here we are—an unexpected meeting that turned into something beautiful. I’m thrilled for the both of you and wish you a lifetime filled with happiness. Now, it’s time for the ceremony to begin.”
