Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1761

“Where’s your red nose?”

“Henry’s got the biggest nose!”

Mother and son were playing around, giggling nonstop. Henry leaned back with his mouth open, pretending he was going to bite his mom’s hand, but Mia lifted her hand just in time, making Henry burst out laughing.

Andre watched the two of them, his grin growing wider by the second. Someone walking by caught sight of Andre’s face and couldn’t help but think: he really, really loves his family. “Mia, Henry!”

They both turned at once. “Honey!” Mia called out, while Henry chimed in, “Daddy!”

With everything sorted out, Henry spotted his parents about to leave. Acting like a little shadow, he immediately latched onto his dad’s leg, refusing to let go. “No more learning, I’m tired! Daddy, Mommy, I want you to teach me, not the teacher!”

He wasn’t a little kid anymore—his grip was strong.

Andre bent down and tried to gently peel his son’s fingers from his pants. Henry’s ten tiny fingers were clenched so tight his knuckles had turned white. Pouting, he didn’t cry when he was misunderstood before, but now, faced with being left at school, he let out a wail that could shake the roof. “I want to go with Daddy and Mommy, waaaah!”

Mia knelt down and wiped at his tears. The teacher tried coaxing him from behind, but Henry just looked at his mom with that stubborn, teary face. “Mommy, don’t leave me here! Waaah! I want you!”

Mia’s heart turned to mush. She wrapped her arms around him, and Henry dove right in, clinging to her. “Mommy!”

Andre watched the scene unfold—this little rascal knew exactly who to target and when.

“Babe~” Now Mia was looking up at him with those pleading, kitten eyes.

Five minutes later, Henry was sitting happily in the backseat of his dad’s car, looking like a completely different kid from the one who was bawling his eyes out moments earlier.

There wasn’t much left on the preschool schedule—just one more activity and dinner. It was getting late anyway, so Andre scooped up his mischievous little guy and headed out.

Henry, still in his dad’s arms, wore a triumphant grin, his face streaked with dried tears. Andre couldn’t help but laugh at his son’s antics.

Andre thought Mia would be heading to the office with him, but she shook her head—she planned to go back to school for her own classes.

“You’ve still got class this afternoon. Why’d you let him leave with us?” Andre asked, glancing at their son in the back.

Henry, happily munching on snacks from the car, slid down until his little face poked between the front seats. “Daddy, are you talking about me again?”

Mia blinked her big, innocent eyes. “Well, you’re here too, honey. What’s the deal—do you have somewhere else to be?”

Andre sighed. “I’ve got a meeting later. Probably two hours. If no one’s watching him, he’s going to turn my office into a war zone.”

Henry turned to his mom, eyes full of curiosity.

Mia tried to sound convincing. “No, no, he’s a big boy now. He’s not going to ‘remodel’ your office again, right, Henry?”

Henry grinned, cookie crumbs all over his mouth. “Yeah! I already remodeled Daddy’s office. I was super good!”
