Meanwhile, Abby chatted with her daughter. "Your dad wants me to go back to the base with him, but I'm worried about you being all alone in Havenbrook."

"Mom, don't worry. I'm an adult; I can take care of myself. Besides, the Arrowood family is my family now too. I'll be perfectly safe. Just go back to the base with Dad and enjoy your life. Make up for all the time you spent apart when you were young."

Abby smiled softly. "We aren't young anymore. I'm just worried about you."

Milka shook her head, gently taking her mother's hand. "Actually... I might be joining you guys soon."

"Hmm?" Abby looked confused.

Milka smiled. "I've run into some issues at work recently, and I'm figuring out how to handle them. Mars supports me, so please don't worry."

Since it was getting late, Milka stood up. "Mom, you should get some rest. I'm going to check on Mars and Dad."

She walked out just as Mars emerged from her father's study.
