Hearing her son's logic, Mia quickly nodded. "Exactly. My sweetie is so smart. Your dad went out to work and took care of Mom at home, so Mom could comfortably stay home and grow our baby. And when the time came, you popped out like a little gift."

Henry silently committed this to memory. "Hmph. But earlier, Mom and Dad lied and said I was a free gift from the phone company!"

"He's getting in Mia's way at home." So, he had no choice but to bring the kid along to get in his own way instead.

No sooner had he spoken than he shouted, "Henry, get over here! What the hell are you digging around for in that cabinet now?"
