Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1949

A moment later, Andre pushed the bedroom door open. He watched his clever little rascal take a swat from his mother without shedding a single tear. But the second Henry saw his dad walk in, his strategy changed. He knew his dad didn't pull punches just because he was the favorite.

When Dad delivered a spanking, it actually hurt.

Instantly, Henry's lower lip quivered. He squeezed his eyes shut and started wailing without a single tear falling. "Daddy!"

Andre hadn't even raised a hand yet, but his son was already howling like he was being tortured. The pathetic wails completely destroyed Andre's resolve. "Was faking sleep a good choice or a bad choice?"

"A bad choice!" Henry sobbed dutifully from his father's arms.

As a reward, Henry secured a spot in the master bedroom, sandwiched securely between his parents. "Let's see you try to fake sleep here," Mia muttered.

Henry pouted, but tucked firmly into his mother's embrace, he was genuinely asleep within minutes. The soft, rhythmic sound of his breathing was undeniable.

Mia playfully brushed the ends of her hair against his nose. The ticklish sensation made the sleeping boy scrunch his face and instinctively roll over, burying himself against his dad's chest.

"Alright, he's actually out cold this time," Mia whispered.

Andre glanced down at his mischievous son. "Get some sleep too. You have class in the morning."

The next morning, the little troublemaker was hauled out of bed by his father and marched straight to the home gym as punishment. Andre suspended him from the pull-up bar. "Explain to me why you were faking sleep."

By the time Mia woke up, father and son were getting along perfectly. Henry's eyes were suspiciously bright and watery, though.
