Chapter 196 The Bigger Picture
No, wait, maybe I didn’t.
Did I say it or not?
Two tiny Sylvaras seemed to argue in her head. One saiyes and the other said no.

After the mental argument, she shook her head, took a quiet breath, and forced a calm smile. “Your Highness, when did you arrive? Rheys looks like he was hurt by you. I just took advantage of the situation, Haha. He’s not very tough.”
Agares was expressionless. His eyes subtly scanned Sylvara from head to toe, then back up.
Finally, he looked away from her and focused on Rheys, who was smashed into the pit with bloody legs. His voice was husky and flat. “I just got here less than two minutes ago. Rheys certainly isn’t very tough.”
Less than two minutes ago?
Then he couldn’t have heard anything.
Sylvara let out a barely noticeable sigh of relief, feeling like her secret was safe again.
But to keep it locked down tight, she quickly changed the subject. “Your Highness, how many times did your lightning strike him? I heard several thunderclaps, and figured you must have zapped him, so I threw him
into the dirt.”
“Three times.” Agares spoke and glanced sideways at the burning tail on the ground. “Put the fire out.”
“Sure.” Sylvara waved her hand, and the blue flame on the burning tail immediately went out. “Do you want this tail?”
“Yes.” Agares bent down, picked up the nearly two-meter tail, and stored it in his space button. “We don’t have samples of the Swarmborn.”
So he wanted the tail for the lab.
Sylvara didn’t turn around but pointed behind her. “You have the real thing right here. Why don’t you just tie him up in the lab?”
Agares walked past her, his dark eyes never meeting her. “Even if he’s captured, a Swarmborn crown prince cannot be killed.”
As he jumped down into the pit and dragged Rheys out Sylvara asked, “Why not?”
Agares pulled a thin, pure-black chain from his space button. He tied it around Rheys’s neck. He was covered in cold sweat and messy hair. “Killing him would mean proposing a full-scale war between the two
nations.
“Their queen is old and doesn’t have the strength to figh. Rheys is the Swarmborn crown prince and the only heir. If he dies, the Swarmborn will use the entire nation’s power to rush toward Troya.
“Their high, mid, and low-level creatures combined excred ten billion, We only has three billion people. Sixty percent are seniors and children, and most don’t have mental strength or combat ability. The number of people who can actually fight maybe three hundred million at most.

“If a war breaks out fully, even if Troya can resist, it will ost countless lives. So, only by keeping him alive by locking him up, can we hold the advantage, lure out and kill high-ranking Swarmborn generals, and slowly and patiently dismantle them.”
Well, he was the commander and prince of Troya Empire, a national hero who protected the entire empire. He had to think about the bigger picture.
Unlike her, who in the zombie apocalypse, would just kill whoever annoyed her.
Rheys was pulled out of the pit. He sat on the ground, beathing heavily, and glared gloomily at Sylvara.
“Then you’d better make good use of him this time. Can that thin chain really hold him?” Sylvara pointed at the small, thin chain around Rheys’s neck. Agares was tying him up like a dog. She doubted the chain’s strength.
Agares hooked the other end of the chain onto his own wrist. His eyes tilted slightly toward her. “It will hold. Ms. Feywin, would you like to try it?”
Sylvara met his gaze. Her heart skipped a beat. She took a step back, waving both hands quickly. “No, thanks. I’m interested in tying others, not being tied myself.”
Agares’s lips curved into a tiny, almost invisible smile. “I that so? Ms. Feywin really doesn’t disappoint me. You surprise me again.”
Again?
Was he surprised she was strong enough to smash Rhey into the ground?
