“Don’t move, don’t move,” Blake said in a rush. “Let go, go.”

Sylvara clung on tighter. “Blake, you promised not to send it to my husband. You forward it to me, and then I’ll let go.”
Blake’s expression shifted. She opened her mouth. “Wee doomed, kid. It already went through.”
Sylvara’s voice shot up an octave. “What?”
Blake looked both innocent and brazen. “You grabbed my device just now and jabbed it right on the send button. It went out because of you, not me, so don’t pint on me.”
Sylvara yanked up her sleeves. “You bastard, Blake, I’m going to kill you.”
Agares, still brooding over the two different optical computer numbers, slowly raised his hand to pull up their identity files and life records when a crisp chime sounded—an incoming message.
Seeing that the sender ID belonged to his instructor, the Empire’s High General Blake, Agares’s hand swerved away from the “trace identities” icon.
He opened the message.
Instantly, his screen filled with ultra-high-definition sex-position diagrams and a full annotated guide.
Agares’s pupils constricted. Heat flooded his cheeks, the tips of his ears turning red. He snapped the device shut with a slap, rose to his feet, and ordered, “Auren, in the name of the Commander and His Majesty, send a message to the General Staff. Inform them that General Kenobia has fully recovered. Each legion is to select three of their best in both mental energy and physical stats to challenge General Kenobia one-on-one at the Centria Royal Guard in three days. Anyone who defeats him earns three months of special training here on Kolar planet.”
Auren stared, utterly stunned.
The Commander had been personally trained by Blake.
Was he openly plotting to beat up his own master now?
The Troya Empire had ten major star systems and ten corresponding legions.
The moment the legions heard there was a chance to “take down General Kenobia,” they wouldn’t even need to hold internal selections-they’d each shove forward their three best elites.
Taking down the Commander’s instructor was practically the same as taking down the Commander
himself.
Just look at that bizarre incident during the recent joint raining of the five military academies-two freshmen knocked out both Agares and Blake. That story was still pinned to the top of the military’s intranet.
And right under that was a heated thread titled: “Who Will Be the Next to Take Down the Commander and General Kenobia?”
“Carry out the order, Auren.” Agares’s voice went cold. “No mistakes.”

Auren snapped off another salute. “Yes, sir.”

Blake finally staggered to a stop on the 10th floor, panting hard. “Kid, you are my own flesh and blood. Have a heart for your old man. Let’s call a time-out and get a room.”
She was wheezing.
Sylvara, on the other hand, wasn’t even out of breath. “Did my husband message you?”
Blake glanced at her device and waved a reassuring hand. “He hasn’t sent me anything. Relax-knowing him, the moment he saw that ‘position guide’, he would we classified it as filth and hit delete.
“Don’t worry. I know you want to personally train your husband. What I sent him was entry-level. Once we get a room, I’ll send you the advanced collector’s edition”
Sylvara was obviously displeased to hear that.
Honestly… it wasn’t like she really wanted it.
Back before she transmigrated, during the Zombie Era on ancient Earth, she’d looted a library. They didn’t have soft-core smut, they had the full deal-like Echoes Behind the Silk Screen.
That little trove had everything.
Anything she wanted, it had.
In the blink of an eye, it was 11:30 p.m.
Blake had changed into a suit, sporting her elegant middle-aged uncle disguise with rimless glasses and, from who-knows-where, a walking cane propped under her hand.
Sylvara was dressed as before-ankle boots, shirt tucked into long pants, a short trench coat brushing above her knees, long hair spilling down to her waist.
Linking her arm through Blake’s, Sylvara still didn’t get why she’d been told to wear her hair down. “Daddy, why am I going in with my hair loose? It’s so inconvenient if we end up fighting.”
Blake looked at her in exaggerated disgust. “Such a pretty girl, and that’s the mouth you ended up with?”
Sylvara was stumped.
Bastard, mocking me for how I talk.
She talked just fine.
Places like the auction house were crawling with all sorts of snakes and sharks.
If someone took offense and threw a punch…
With his hair, it would be impossible to fight cleanly-i just get in the way.
The two of them flew over in their aircraft and arrived the auction house.
Floodlights around the building made the night look like day,
They could already hear the roar of the crowd inside before they even stepped in.
