Forget it, I already know-I can’t win against her!
This is bad. I need a way to deal with her….

“General Kenobia!” Agares called out, his voice breathless and sharp from the wind, “Please answer me honestly, were you the one who put her up to it?”
Stay calm… stay calm…
I can’t get angry at Agares, this unruly student.
I’ve still got a good life ahead of me, filled with luxury and comfort. I can’t let anger make me sick!
I can’t get mad at this unruly student. If I die of anger, I’d just be handing His Majesty over to those other bitches. All my hard work would go down the drain!
Blake let out a heavy sigh and, with perfect seriousness, shifted the blame, “This really has nothing to do with me. She’s actually short on cash. You don’t know she bought her planet with money donated by
Starnet users.”
“Actually, that’s not even the main reason. The real root of it is you. You insisted on paying her and made her pay you back in person. When she didn’t, you had her write an IOU. She’s barely an adult-her pride is huge!”
“You made her write an IOU in front of everyone and forced her to pay you back. That’s like grinding her dignity into the floor. Who could take that?”
“I’m telling you, she might look carefree with that goofy smile and those oddball skills, but inside, she’s really sensitive and fragile. So maybe, just maybe, when I mentioned Bluebeard and that his ship and crew are worth 20 billion, she set her mind on single-handedly taking on those 300 bandits!”
After Blake finished speaking, there was only the sound of footsteps. He couldn’t hear Agares at all. Just as he was about to ask, there was a loud crash, followed by the rush of wind. He called out, “Where are you?”
Agares pulled open the spaceship hatch where he was standing, letting in a gust of wind. He stood firm in the doorway and said to the optical computer, “I’m at the hatch of my ship. Open yours and I’ll come over.”
Blake crossed his legs in the cockpit and pressed the hatch button, then reminded him, “Sweetheart, make sure she doesn’t get hurt. She’s my only kid. I’m counting on her to take care of me when I’m old!”
Agares saw the opposite hatch click open. He leapt across, then said coldly to Blake, “General Kenobia, even if you never marry again, with everything you’ve done for the empire, when you’re old-whether you’re paralyzed or disabled-the empire’s best nursing homes will always take you in. They’ll keep you clean and well cared for, so there’s no need to worry about who’ll look after you!”
Blake was speechless.
Why do I have such an unruly student?
Why?
Why did he pick up all these bad habits from little panda?
Is he really just waiting for me to be old and helpless?

Grinding his teeth, Blake muttered, “If I’m ever old, paralyzed, or disabled, I’ll just go live with your brother. I’m not going to any nursing home!”
Agares replied in a dead-serious tone, “Oh, General Kerobia, maybe you didn’t know-His Majesty already picked out a nursing home for you. Goodbye!”
Blake was stunned all over again.
His Majesty had already found him a nursing home?
When did that happen?
Why did he not know anything about it?
Blake stared at the now-dark optical computer.
He began to question his whole life.
Did I really waste all these years serving His Majesty with my looks?
Is His Majesty just waiting for me to get old and used up so he can throw me into a nursing home?
That’s ruthless!
Sylvara walked out of the cockpit, letting her mental energy spread out to about 30 feet around her. Any bandits within that range were quickly taken down, gagged with Smokewillow, and left hanging.
After clearing the 10 bandits within the nearest 30 feet, she expanded her mental energy to cover the entire spaceship.
From the feedback, she sensed she’d strung up 10 people on the ship-five were in the cabins, the rest scattered elsewhere. There were still 110 left.
That meant Bluebeard’s crew totaled 125. Now with 110 remaining, once those were handled, Bluebeard’s ship would be completely useless.
Sylvara walked forward. Smokewillow trailed behind her, moving like a lively snake along the floor, hanging up every bandit it touched.
After about 10 minutes, she reached the cabin with the most bandits inside. The noise and cursing were
nonstop.
“Boss, if we catch Red Brows this time, can we finally find his hideout and take it down?”
“Yeah, Boss, people say Red Brows is trickier than a fox. No one’s ever found his hideout all these years, and it’s supposed to be full of rare minerals and piles of sparkling gems.”
“You idiots know nothing. Red Brows has a daughter, and she’s gorgeous. Today, Boss got totally played by her. He said, if we catch Red Brows and his daughter, we’ll make her pay right in front of him.”
