“Someone as outstanding as she is has the power to choose, deserves better, and shouldn’t waste her entire life on an ungrateful, nitpicking man who likes to piss her off.”
Blake thought, we’re doomed. Really doomed.
Blake wished she could turn back time and slap herself hard.
That’ll teach her to run her mouth.
How did she shoot herself in the foot and stab His Highness in the heart?
“So…” Agares’s dark eyes gazed at Sylvara, his voice muffled, hoarse, and cold. “Ms. Sylvie, please answer my question directly. Do you want to dissolve your marriage with your husband?”
Her bargain-bin husband’s sudden seriousness, solemnity, and coldness made Sylvara involuntarily straighten her spine, her expression becoming neutral as she looked directly at him and asked in return, “Your Highness, do you want to dissolve your marriage with your wife?”
Agares’s eyes suddenly darkened, his clenched hand forming a tight fist. After looking at Sylvara for a long moment, he stood up and slowly said, “I apologize. I wasn’t thinking clearly.”
Sylvara stood up as well, her face cold. “So the reason you’re asking me this question is because all along, you’ve been determined to dissolve your marriage with your wife. You never changed your mind, not even when I beat you at the military training grounds. You went back on your word and played me for a fool, didn’t you?”
Agares’s eyelids lowered, concealing the turmoil in his eyes. “My wife is like you-knows how to act cute, how to have fun, pure and scatterbrained, can’t even find a single egg. My marriage with her was a mistake from the start.
“This mistake was orchestrated by my royal brother, Relbs of the Troya Empire, using his privilege. It was unfair to her from the beginning. So if possible, I still want to dissolve this marriage with her!”
Sylvara took a deep breath. So she’d thought he would get shy, that flirting with him a bit more would make him fall for her, never expecting he’d been determined to dissolve their marriage all along.
Oh, perfect!
Just perfect!
Blake got up from her seat and hurried to Sylvara’s side tugging at her sleeve and saying softly, “Kid, we’re almost at Genesis Planet. I will catch you rabbits, exotic beasts.”
“Shut up!” Sylvara snarled at Blake, then casually flicked her hand, transforming Smokewillow into a whip.
Crack!
It struck Agares’s exposed neck.
Auren cried out, “Commander Vae…”
“Shut up!” Blake grabbed him and yanked him back down into his chair, watching Sylvara with her heart in her throat.

A bloody welt appeared on Agares’s exposed neck, but his tall figure remained straight as a pine, not even furrowing his brow.
Sylvara struck again with a backhand swing. This time, split the skin and flesh on Agares’s neck, blood gushing out.
Sylvara looked at the crimson blood, withdrew Smokewillow, and laughed coldly. “Fine! If that’s what Your Highness wants, then that’s perfect. Please inform His Majesty and use his privilege or yours to dissolve your marriage with your wife. Thank you!”
Agares slowly moved his clenched fist behind his back, fresh blood flowing from his neck. His eyelids lowered, his voice cold as frost. “You’re welcome. This is what I should have done all along.
“I’m the one at fault. Please tell her for me, Ms. Sylvie, that to dissolve our marriage, neither party needs to go to the Marriage Registration Center. I will report to His Majesty and go through the Supreme Court to declare our marriage null and void!
“To compensate her, she can have half of my assets and property. I will also support her for life, even if she registers marriage with someone else in the future and as children. I will support her until I die!”
“Stop talking!” Sylvara stamped her foot, feeling extremely wronged. After flirting for so long, she’d been flirting with thin air. Even if she fed a dog, at least it would bark twice. Feeding him just made her angry. She sniffled, her voice getting hoarse as she snapped fiercely, “Who do you think you are? You think having money makes you so great? Support me? Who needs your money?”
Was she about to cry?
Her voice was full of grievance.
Agares suddenly looked up, his gaze crashing into Sylvara’s reddened eyes.
She was about to cry.
Tears were welling up in her eyes.
Agares’s hand behind his back dug into his palm until it bled. His lips moved, his voice growing even more muffled. “I’m sorry, I…”
“I … what? Shut up!” Sylvara shouted at Agares, not forgetting to glare fiercely at him after shouting.
After glaring, she turned to leave, but the examination hair behind her blocked her path. She kicked it aside.
