Sylvara's Rebirth A New Dawn for Abel novel Chapter 91

**Chapter 91: The Infidelity Accusation**

As Sylvara hesitated, a glint of mischief sparked in Veyric’s eyes. Seizing the moment, he slyly maneuvered his plate closer to hers, deftly snatching the succulent rib right off her fork. The sound of his teeth crunching through the cartilage echoed in the quiet room, a loud and almost grotesque reminder of his audacity.

Sylvara’s lips twitched in annoyance. She was well aware of his ploy; the pitiful puppy-dog act was nothing but a ruse to snag her ribs.

Determined to ignore him, she focused intently on her plate, swiftly finishing the last morsels of her meal. Her stomach was only half full, but she felt a sense of satisfaction as she set her plate down. She was about to reach for a couple of apples to snack on when Veyric’s charming smile broke through her resolve.

“Hey Sylvie, how about we make a deal?” he proposed, his tone dripping with false sweetness.

A shiver ran down Sylvara’s spine at the sound of his voice, which dripped with an unsettling charm. She shot back a firm rejection, her voice steady and unwavering. “Nope. Not happening. Get lost.”

The idea of getting lost was utterly foreign to Veyric.

Even if she were to threaten him, he would not back down.

“Sylvie, just look at me,” he continued, his eyes wide and innocent, a mockery of genuine affection. “I’m so adorable. How could you possibly have the heart to refuse me?” He had abandoned all sense of dignity, playing the cute card like a desperate child.

Sylvara let out a short laugh, shaking her head as she cleared the dishes from the table. She rinsed them under the cool water of the sink, the sound of splashing water a soothing distraction from Veyric’s antics. “I don’t have a heart. Sorry. I really need to change my major. I won’t be seeing you out. Bye.” With that, she turned her back on him, determined to end the conversation.

Meanwhile, at the villa next door, Miralys was startled by an urgent call on her optical computer. It was her mother. Rushing outside, she was met with the alarming sight of her mother lying by the door, a wave of panic washing over her. “Mom!” she called out, her voice laced with concern as she quickly summoned Zephyrion to bring the healing device.

Once the treatment was administered, the pain in Seraphine’s broken wrist had lessened, and the discomfort in her internal organs was more bearable.

“Mom, who did this to you? Why didn’t you let me know you were coming?” Miralys questioned, her voice trembling with worry.

Seraphine glanced at Zephyrion, who stood nearby, his presence a curious mix of concern and wariness. “I saw your message and rushed over. I didn’t expect…” Her voice trailed off, leaving an unspoken tension hanging in the air.

Miralys, however, misread her mother’s hesitation and blurted out, “It was that trash Sylvara who did this, wasn’t it? I told you she has connections with the Level-7 Plant Healer. Her genes and mental energy must have been restored. There’s no way she could have beaten me last time otherwise. Mom, why didn’t you take my words seriously?”

“Find her?” Miralys exclaimed, incredulity coloring her tone. “Why would he go looking for that trash? She’s married to the infertile His Highness Agares. Does he dare to compete with Agares?”

Seraphine’s hand shot out, smacking her daughter’s arm in frustration. “Are you foolish? Agares may be infertile, but the imperial laws favor the mother. That trash has a steady supply of fruit from a Level-7 Plant Healer. If Zephyrion sweet-talks her into going to a breeding center or if they manage to have a child naturally, even someone with Agares’s privileges and his ‘Shield of the Empire’ status won’t be able to touch him.”

Miralys winced from the sting of her mother’s slap, but her eyes gleamed with determination. “Mom, we can’t let that happen. Everything that trash has should belong to me. We need to make her divorce His Highness Agares. You shouldn’t fear His Majesty. Just think about it—His Majesty must also be wary of the Level-7 Plant Healer and anxious that the healer might relocate to the neighboring Federation.”

“Sylvara only dares to confront us and insult us because she’s relying on the Level-7 Plant Healer. Why don’t we contact His Highness Agares right now and inform him that Sylvara injured you and is trying to seduce other men?”

Seraphine’s hand, which had just smacked Miralys’s arm, paused mid-air. The twisting pain in her stomach reminded her of the humiliation that Sylvara had inflicted upon her, not to mention the money she had conned her out of. This was not something she could simply overlook.

Moreover, her husband was currently at home, hosting guests and eagerly awaiting the trash to deliver fruit and the Level-7 Plant Healer so they could manipulate the situation to their advantage.

“Mom.” Miralys, noticing her mother’s shifting expressions and the gears turning in her mind, couldn’t help but lay out her strategy. “We only have this afternoon. After today, the academy will go into lockdown and won’t let anyone in.”
