Take Me Once, I’ll Bleed You Twice

BENEDICT

Not only
Benedict stomped up the stairs and into Beatrice’s room where he hesitated. There was a sour smell in the air, one he hadn’t experied He made his way t the bathroom where he found Alise standing just outside the shower, staring down at the human who was curled up inside
The Alpha’s odd behaviour earlier suddenly made sense when Alise said, “Something’s wrong. I tried to move her but she screamed and threw i
No… there’s no way… Alpha Hendricks would never stoop so low.
Alise moved out of Benedict’s way as he approached. Crouching, he took note of the sour smell that was coming off Beatrice.
Pain. That was the scent of pain.
Fuuuck.
not even the most annoying human he’d ever met. Reaching out, he placed a hand h Benedict’s heart went out to the woman. No-one deserved this forehead and noted it was warm to the touch. Was that normal for a human, he wondered. “What did you do, girl?,” the Beta found hiteself aking voice as his eyes took in every detail.
She was fully clothed and drenched to the bone. Her body was shaking uncontrollably, muscles tense as if waiting for some unseen blow to and
“N-n-nothing,” she managed to stutter through chattering teeth.
That was pure bullshit. Did she actually expect him to believe that?
The Beta’s hand twitched against her forehead before he removed it, drawing a whine from Beatrice. That wasn’t good. She made it wou we tes been helpful. In no version of hell would she have ever let something like that be known.
This was bad.
Given the circumstances, there was no other choice. Benedict let out a sigh as he reached into the shower, carefully working this name around the human’s body.

“Top know.” Alise murmured, averting her gaze. “I checked on her an hour ago but… the door was closed, so I figured she was being. you know
Benedict closed his eyes and forced himself to take a breath. Yeah, the amount of pain Beatrice was is wasn’t normal for a wolf As a human? Who knew
What was Alpha Hendricks thinking?
Turning, Benedict left the room and marched to the clinic on the first floor. Every wolf who caught sight of his face on the way hastily averted their gaze and took a step back. That was fair. He was not in a good mood.
The doctor running the clinic was an older she-wolf by the name of Regina Silverthorn. With her grey hair pulled back, narrow eyes and pinched expression she had the look of a teacher know for strictness – one no child would dare cross.
“Beta Benedict?,” the she-wolf questioned, eyebrows arching at his sudden appearance. Her dark eyes darted to the human in ins arms. Lips pursing, she motioned to one of the beds. “Put her there.”
Somewhere along the way, Beatrice must have passed out because she didn’t make a sound as Benedict placed her on the bed. Or fight back. In fact, the was positively compliant – in a dead weight kind of way – and that worried him all the more.
