Take Me Opce, Bleed You Twice
Chapter 72
“Better. Thank you,” she huffed before flopping down and rolling over so her back was now facing him once more.
“You are rather demanding,” he noted, causing her to let out a small giggle.
“And you’re a bit of a prude.”
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me.”
“I am no prude.”
“And yet I had to basically bully you into sitting on the bed.”
but her reactions towards the beast who was Riaghaire fell silent, confused. Her words said she was fine with him pushing her boundaries – to an extent her mate told a different tale. “I do not understand. You were adamant that the beast did not respect you, and yet you are saying that you want me to do as
he did?”
“What?,” she exclaimed, rolling over so she could look at him. “That’s not… that’s totally different.”
“Is it?”
“This is… fuck, how do I explain this…” she muttered, mostly to herself, before taking a deep breath. “This isn’t violating my personal space. Actually, you’v never done anything that pushed my boundaries, so I guess I just assumed that, even if you were to crawl under the covers, you wouldn’t do anything
anyway.”
That was… surprising. Riaghaire was glad she felt comfortable in his presence and trusted that he wouldn’t violate her boundaries, however… how was he supposed to let her know that, should she want, he was more than willing to as she said – crawl under the covers. And prove he was no prude.
“Wait,” she suddenly spoke, “Maybe the choking thing, when Tweedledick came into the dungeon. I’d consider that crossing a line but, since it was for a good reason, I don’t really see it that way. Does that make sense?”
“It does,” he replied with a slow nod, trying to understand how her mind worked on the topic. It seemed like, because he’d been respectful frons the beginning, she had trust in him; which in turn meant he could be more… brazen, perhaps? Not much, but it was a start.

The thought allowed him to settle in more comfortably as he returned to. his book. It was time to give the first page another attempt.
He’d made it through the first chapter this time before realizing his gréine was still watching him, though her annoyance was long gone. She simply looked tired. “Is there something you wish to say?”
Beatrice shook her head a little, then paused. “Is there a way… I can keep him out of my head while I sleep?”
Riaghaire slowly closed the book, uncaring if he lost his place. “I cannot say I do not know enough about the bond to offer so much as a suggestion”
“I figured,” she sighed, closing her eyes. She was silent for nearly a minute before opening them again “Would you be against reading your book to me”
“Reading… to you?”

Yeah Out loud:”
The vampire gave a slow nod. “I am able to do that, if that is what you wish. Is there a particular novel you would prefer I read?
“No. Just anything.”
