**Chapter 191**
**Aria’s POV**
“I’m heading down there!” I declared sharply, my voice echoing with urgency. “Where are they?”
“They’re at the training field. This way, my lady,” the female soldier replied, her tone steady and respectful.
Without hesitation, I pivoted on my heels, my heart racing as I followed her. As we descended the staircase, we unexpectedly encountered Grayson and his entourage of soldiers.
“Where do you think you’re going?” he questioned, his brow furrowing in confusion.
I didn’t have a moment to spare for pleasantries. “Get out of my way, Grayson,” I snapped, my tone leaving no room for argument.
The soldiers flanking him looked shocked, their eyes wide with disbelief at my audacity to speak so rudely to their Alpha. But I brushed past them, urgency propelling me forward, guided by the female soldier’s firm grip.
Even though dawn had barely broken, a vast crowd had already amassed at the training field. The air was thick with the sound of raucous laughter, mocking and cruel, drifting toward me like a dark cloud.
A tightness gripped my chest, and I quickened my pace, weaving through the throng. “Out of my way… MOVE!” I shouted, my voice rising above the din.
The crowd parted swiftly, creating a path for me as I rushed forward, desperation fueling my every step.
And then, I saw it.
In the center of the gathered crowd, Torvi was being forced to her knees by two soldiers, her face marred with scratches and bruises that told a story of violence.
Tasmin and Meave stood before her, their expressions smug and triumphant, relishing the scene before them.
“Torvi, do you admit your guilt?” Tasmin demanded, her voice dripping with disdain.
Torvi lifted her head, her eyes icy and defiant. “I haven’t done anything wrong. You’re just looking for a fight because you’re jealous of Lady Quentina and Aria…”
A venomous spit landed at Torvi’s feet as Tasmin sneered, “Shut your mouth! As if I would ever be jealous of those two pathetic bitches. What’s there to envy? One is a whore who lets any man bed her and bears a bastard child, and the other is a wolfless freak.”
Torvi let out a chilling chuckle, her defiance unyielding. “And yet, it is they who will bring you down—”
SLAP!
Meave’s hand connected with Torvi’s face, the sound echoing through the air like a gunshot.
“You’re just a lowly commoner! How dare you speak about your betters like that?” she screamed, her voice laced with fury.
Watching the red imprint of that slap blossom on Torvi’s cheek ignited a firestorm of rage within me. I roared, my instincts taking over as I lunged forward.
“Stay away from Torvi!” I growled, seizing Meave by her collar and shoving her back with all my strength.
Caught off guard, Meave stumbled backward, nearly losing her balance. After regaining her footing, she glared up at me, venom in her eyes. “Aria Collins! You’re dead today!”
I spread my arms wide, positioning myself protectively in front of Torvi. “You’re the one who’s dead! Torvi is an honored General of this pack. You think you can force her to kneel and slap her without consequences? Where do you get the nerve?”
Meave’s expression twisted into one of disdain. “I am a lady of this pack. To me, she’s practically a slave. I don’t need a reason to kill her.”
I stepped forward, my gaze piercing. “Torvi has fought for this pack. She has bled for it in countless battles. What have you two done to earn this power?”
Tasmin’s eyes widened in disbelief. “We are the Commanders of the Frostpine Pack army! We’ve seen more battles than she has. Just last month, we achieved a great victory—”
“That victory?” I interjected, my voice low and mocking. “You dare mention it? You and I both know the truth behind that so-called ‘victory.’”
A flicker of panic danced across both women’s faces. Meave opened her mouth to retort, but Tasmin quickly yanked at her sleeve, silencing her.
“You know why we made that whore kneel before us and torment her?” Tasmin said, a twisted smile creeping onto her lips. “Because she’s your ally. We want you to understand that we can do whatever we please to you and those you care about. Today, it’s Torvi. But soon enough, we’ll have both Quentina and you begging on your knees for mercy.”
My fists clenched tightly, nails digging into my palms as their words fueled my anger.
I couldn’t believe that these two women shared my blood. It only strengthened my resolve to bring them down.
“Let’s go, mother,” Meave said with a cruel smile. “Just remember, Aria, the next time your people fall into our hands, it won’t just be a slap. It’ll be much worse.”
With that, they turned away, their laughter chilling as they walked off. The soldiers who had gathered around began to disperse, some casting contemptuous glances our way, while others wore expressions of pity. I sensed that many soldiers were uncomfortable with Tasmin’s bullying of their General, but fear held them back from intervening.
Torvi slowly rose from the ground, and I rushed to her side, eager to help her stand.
“I-I’ll get him!” the manager stuttered, quickly ordering someone to fetch Lance.
Before long, Lance was brought before me. Upon seeing my face, he froze, shock washing over him. “It’s you. From last night… Why are you back? Miss the taste of my dagger?”
I met his gaze steadily. “I don’t believe you willingly help people like Tasmin. If you want to escape her grasp safely, work with me. I can help you.”
His face contorted, a mocking laugh escaping his lips. “You? God, you’re foolish. You have no idea how powerful Lady Tasmin is!”
I couldn’t discern if his tone carried more admiration or fear, but I nodded firmly. “Yes. I can do it.”
Lance hesitated, uncertainty flickering in his eyes. Just then, a furious roar erupted from outside the main doors.
“ARIA—YOU BITCH!!!”
I spun around to see Tasmin leaping out of a car, her face contorted with rage as she charged toward me.
Didn’t she only visit this club once a month? What was she doing here today?
It didn’t matter. Her timing was impeccable. I had unfinished business with her.
She stormed through the entrance, her tall silhouette casting a menacing shadow. “You’re dead today, Aria Collins. A skinny little bitch like you dares to challenge my authority? You have no idea—”
BANG!
I fired my gun at her.
The bullet grazed her ear, leaving a trail of crimson on her cheek. Tasmin froze, horror etched across her face as she stared at me.
“Recognize this gun?” I asked, a cold smile spreading across my lips. “This is Alpha Thalira’s gun. It represents her. I can do anything here in Frostpine Pack… literally ANYTHING.”
I paused, turning to Torvi. “Ready?”
“Yes, my lady,” she replied immediately, her eyes ablaze with hatred as they remained fixed on Tasmin.
“Lady Tasmin slapped you yesterday, didn’t she? Now seems like the perfect time to return the favor.”
