**Wore 192**
**Chapter 192**
**Aria’s POV**
A sudden wave of shock rippled through the gathering crowd, their whispers barely audible above the tension. Tasmin’s eyes flared with indignation, her expression a tempest of fury.
“You want her to slap me?” she bellowed, her voice slicing through the air. “I am a Lady, for heaven’s sake! That man-whore isn’t even permitted to meet my gaze. What makes you think she could ever lay a finger on me?”
A chilling smile crept across my lips, one that felt both foreign and exhilarating. “Because of me, Tasmin. Because I granted her permission.”
Tasmin erupted into laughter, a harsh, mocking sound that echoed in the charged atmosphere. “You? Oh, darling, you are hardly a legitimate Lady. You don’t even possess a wolf. If you ask me, you’re nothing more than an omega slave in my eyes.”
“But I have Alpha Thalira’s gun, remember?” I countered, raising an eyebrow with feigned innocence. “Isn’t it pathetic, Aunt Tasmin? You spent years under Alpha Thalira, desperately seeking her recognition. Yet, she never trusted you with this gun. After knowing me for just a few days, she handed it to me. Doesn’t that make you just a tad furious?”
Her face twisted in rage, the muscles in her jaw tightening as she spat, “It’s merely a worthless gun. It holds no significance…”
“Seems like quite a significant piece to me,” I replied, my voice steady. “With this gun, I can command your soldiers. If I tell Torvi to slap you, not a single soul here would lift a finger to help you.”
I watched as the realization dawned upon Tasmin—she was utterly alone. No guards flanked her, no allies stood at her side. In stark contrast, I was enveloped by a formidable group of soldiers and Torvi, their loyalty palpable.
Tasmin swallowed hard, her bravado faltering as she turned to the club manager. “What are you waiting for? Call your security and throw these people out!”
The manager hesitated, his eyes darting nervously to me. “But… but she has Alpha Thalira’s gun…”
“And I am Alpha Thalira’s daughter! I have been a patron of this club for years. You know precisely how much authority I wield within this pack. So, who will you choose to heed?”
His expression grew more conflicted, and I seized the moment to remind him, “Your clientele consists of influential, well-connected individuals. Surely you’ve heard the whispers that Alpha Thalira is increasingly dissatisfied with her two daughters? Why else would she entrust her most prized weapon to me, a newcomer? So, be wise. Align yourself with the right side and steer clear of our family affairs.”
The manager bit his lip, torn between loyalty and fear. After a moment that felt like an eternity, he cleared his throat and announced, “Dear guests, I apologize for the disturbance. Please, return to your private booths. I assure you, nothing dangerous will occur.”
“So you won’t help me?!” Tasmin shrieked, her voice laced with outrage.
The manager replied with a calculated calmness, “Lady Aria is correct. This appears to be a family matter. It wouldn’t be appropriate for us to intervene.”
“Family matter my ass!” Tasmin snarled. “You summon your security right now or—”
I cut her off, my voice sharp and commanding. “Torvi, get her!”
“None of us could see it before,” Torvi chimed in. “But Lady Aria is indeed our beacon of hope. She is the only one capable of restoring hope to the Frostpine Pack.”
I fixed my gaze on Lance, leaning in closer. “Tell me, do you genuinely believe Tasmin is a great leader? Or do you simply think she’s a terrible person and were too afraid to voice your opinions under her oppressive rule?”
Lance clenched his fists, a storm of emotions brewing within him. After a brief pause, he burst forth with conviction, “How could anyone consider her a good person?! She’s a tyrant, a heartless monster! If it weren’t for her, I could be married to my girl by now, living a happy and carefree life. But look at me… I’m a man-whore, and my girl is a slave in your grand castle. Tasmin has ruined my life. My brothers… they followed her into battle and never returned…”
My heart sank at his words, the weight of his sorrow palpable. I leaned forward, urgency flooding my voice. “Are you referring to last month’s ‘great victory’ against the rogues? What is the truth behind that?”
“The truth is, there was no great victory. Tasmin and her daughter were defeated by the rogues. They lost hundreds of soldiers in that battle, including my brothers. But they were too terrified of facing Alpha Thalira and the pack’s wrath, so they fabricated a victory. Apparently, pretending to win is far easier than actually achieving it…”
Lance covered his face, his voice thick with emotion. “My poor brothers… They sacrificed everything for this pack, yet no one knows of their bravery. No one even remembers they existed…”
My chest tightened with indignation.
Tasmin’s audacity knew no bounds. She believed that being the Alpha’s daughter granted her the right to act without consequence, to treat lives as expendable.
But this ends now.
I focused intently on Lance, leaning in closer, my resolve hardening. “Provide me with any evidence you possess, and I will ensure justice is served. I won’t just expose Tasmin’s false victory; I will make her answer for her actions and compensate everyone who has suffered. So, what do you say?”
