Chapter 163 Summit Manor
They assumed Isabella had come representing her family’s interests.
“Everyone else is tied up,” Isabella replied simply. “Let’s go ahead and get the papers signed.”
“Very well.”
Finished
The speaker was an elderly white–haired man, around sixty, seated at the head of the table. His eyes were sharp and assessing as they rested on Isabella.
He offered a polite smile. “I must say, we were quite surprised when we learned your family was interested in purchasing our estate.
“After all, someone in your position likely already has access to premier properties.”
It was a reasonable assumption–if someone could casually spend billions, they probably didn’t need another luxury home. So why buy theirs?
Especially given that their asking price was far from modest.
“It’s just a temporary arrangement,” Isabella explained smoothly.
“Most of our holdings are overseas.”
She knew exactly what kind of response the sellers were looking for, so she gave it to them without hesitation.
She wasn’t in the mood for lengthy negotiations or subtle probing.
What they really wanted to know was why she had chosen their property.
Was it because of its proximity to the Carters?
Isabella had no interest in playing guessing games, so she simply offered the explanation they seesied to
expect.
When she did, the man across from her nodded thoughtfully, visibly satisfied.
The older gentleman didn’t press further.
The contract signing proceeded without delay.
When the documents revealed Isabella was still a minor, the elderly man’s expression shifted to one of genuine surprise.
“Your family certainly knows how to raise their young,” he remarked respectfully. “To be so poised at your age is impressive.
“Now that everything is settled, we won’t keep you any longer.
“Our surname is Lewis.

“Please extend our warm regards to the elders in your household,” he added, his tone now noticeably
warmer.
“And regarding the ten percent discount–we’ll arrange for it to be returned via our offshore accounts.
“Thank your family elders for their support.”
“Min.”
Isabella acknowledged with a light nod and said nothing more.
After the group departed, Ryan hurried over. “Ms. Powell, would you like me to show you around the estate?”
Isabella gave a slight nod. “Yes, thank you.
“Just give me one moment.”
She pulled out her phone and called Nora. “Nora, I’ve moved. The new address is…
“Come directly from Carter Manor and meet me here.”
“Understood.”
Hanging up, Isabella turned back to Ryan. “Let’s go.”
“Oh–of course.” He hesitated briefly, then couldn’t help asking, “Ms. Powell, was that your household staff on the phone?”
Only one person?
“Yes,” Isabella said evenly. “A housekeeper from a friend’s family. They thought I might need some assistance settling in, so they sent her over.
“Is something the matter?”
She glanced at him, one eyebrow slightly raised.
Ryan shook his head quickly. “No, not at all. I was just curious, since most young heirs from prominent families usually have… more of an entourage.”
In his experience, every affluent heiress he’d met traveled with staff–sometimes a whole team, or at the very least, a personal assistant always nearby.
Isabella’s low–key approach was unusual.
“Mm.”
Her expression remained neutral, offering no further explanation.
They made their way toward the villa.
