Chapter 329 Preparing the Stage
Lingering a few steps behind, he seized Zachary’s arm and shook him frantically, “Did you hear that?!”
“My sister told me to work for her!”
“She told me to work hard!”
Euphoria exploded in Isaac’s chest.
His greatest terror had been Isabella shutting him out of her life forever.
Now she wasn’t just speaking to him–she wanted him on her payroll, running the corporation for her!
She had claimed Powell Group for herself, but she was a Powell by blood, so why shouldn’t she have it?
A share of the Powell empire had always rightfully belonged to her.
Not to mention the company was bankrupt, belonging to whoever bought out its debt.
Even if the empire had never fallen, Isaac wouldn’t have raised a single objection if Bella wanted it.
He was practically floating on clouds.
Zachary felt a sour pang of jealousy prickling his heart.
“Pfft, you’re just an ordinary corporate wage–slave–what’s so thrilling about that?
“I wouldn’t take the job even if someone begged me!”
In truth, sibling rivalries in high–society dynasties were treacherous, and even if Zachary wanted to help run the firm, his older brother would never permit it.
Isaac had endured the exact same treatment under Adrian.
Adrian had refused to grant him a single role with real executive authority.
Had Isaac not forced his brother’s hand through leverage, Adrian wouldn’t have let him set foot in corporate headquarters, let alone manage prime assets.
Nursing his envy, Zachary elbowed Isaac, “Hey, don’t forget to tell Bella to give me superbike lessons later!”
“Piss off!”
Isaac snapped back fiercely, “My sister is never touching anything that dangerous again!”
Zachary stared at him in utter disbelief.
You ungrateful b*stard, Isaac, burning bridges the second you cross them!
And what dangerous things?!
As if you never raced superbikes yourself!
Besides, Bella drives laps around you with her eyes closed!
Cursing inwardly, Zachary bickered back and forth with Isaac as they followed her into the suite.
Inside the VIP lounge.
