Chapter 254 Triumphant Queen
Queen Isabella’s POV:
I looked at her smiling face, then around at all the admiring, respectful eyes.
At that moment, all my awkwardness melted away.
I reached out and placed my hand in hers.

“Hmm.” I tried to keep my voice calm. “I’m here. I heard it’s lively here, so I wanted to see for myself.”
Cindy steadied me as I got down from the carriage, then naturally linked her arm with mine.
“Mother, having you here is my greatest honor. Please come in. The best tea is ready for you.”
Arm in arm with the future daughter-in-law who used to make me grit my teeth in annoyance, I entered the ducal estate and met with a wave of praise.
Feeling her firm grip, I had a thought.
Having a daughter-in-law who was skilled, wealthy, and good at fighting actually wasn’t so bad.
At least she was way better than that clueless crybaby Hannah!
Hmph, Margaret, go ahead and be jealous!
Cindy’s POV:
The main hall of the Silverpeak Ducal Estate was buzzing with the kingdom’s power players.
The air buzzed with the presence of top Alphas, mixed with the warm scent of aged liquor and the crisp elegance of ink.
King Ryken, dressed casually, stood with his hands clasped behind his back, eyes glued to the huge painting titled “Lone Wolf on Snowfield,” clearly enjoying every detail. Morton, Adam, and a few old nobles who were usually arrogant were huddled around my senior, Oliver, like kids in class, hanging on his every word about the painting.
“Her Majesty has arrived!”
The royal messenger’s call made the lively hall fall silent for a beat.

Queen Isabella took my hand and walked in, surrounded by a small cluster of noble ladies, shining like stars around the moon.
Whoosh…
Every gentleman present, even the proud old dukes, except for King Ryken, stood immediately and gave Queen Isabella the most standard hand-to-chest salute.
“Greetings, Your Majesty.”
The hand I held tightened just slightly.
Queen Isabella straightened even more, chin lifted, proud and graceful.
She kept a calm smile, but I could feel the pheromones rolling off her. It was pure, unmasked satisfaction. Her vanity had reached its peak.
That was probably the most glamorous moment she’d had since joining the royal family.
It wasn’t because of her husband or her son, but because of me. The “discarded woman” she once sneered at had delivered the most elite social connections of the court straight to her.
“Take your seat.”
Queen Isabella withdrew her hand from mine. With every eye on her, she gracefully sat beside King Ryken.
I stepped back and was about to greet the guests, but a hand lightly pressed on my shoulder.
It was Oliver.
He held a silver-tipped cane, his smile gentle and warm like spring sunlight, yet his whisper against my ear was sharp and precise.
“Do you get it now?”
His gaze swept over Queen Isabella, flushed with triumph and reveling in flattery, then to the eager nobles surrounding her.
