I took the Bond–Breaking Order from Prince Adam’s hand. The scroll, woven from moonlit silk, felt heavy, its divine power humming softly beneath my fingertips.
Holding it tight, my heart roared like a storm sweeping through Northmere.
Years of disgrace rolled back like retreating waves, leaving behind a strange emptiness–relief mixed with tangled feelings, regret for trusting James, guilt for the honor owed to the Silverpeak Pack, and a quiet unease about what was coming next.
But above all, I felt a weight lift, as if the wolf inside me, bound for so long, was finally free to spread its wings and fly.
My eyes swept over James’s twisted, unyielding face.
I had to follow this path to the very end, not for revenge, but for the glory of Northmere’s Silverpeak Pack and for my own freedom!
I turned toward the gathering square, raising the scroll high. My voice rang out clearly over the pack, “Wolves of the Duskfang Pack, this is the Bond–Breaking Order, given by King Ryken himself! Sealed with the Moon Goddess’s divine mark and the blood oath of King Ryken! With this, I can unilaterally break any bond that has shamed me without suffering any backlash!”
I spun my head and locked eyes with James.
His face turned pale, a mix of fear and disbelief.
My gaze blazed with revenge. “James! You said I wasn’t worthy to be your Luna, that the Duskfang Pack would abandon me! Today, I’ll prove you wrong. It’s not me who’s been abandoned. I reject this bond soaked in betrayal filth, and shame! It stains the honor of Northmere’s Silverpeak Pack, and I refuse to be part of it!”
Diana roared inside me, “Cindy, tear these chains apart! Make the traitor pay!”
“Cindy! You’ve got some nerve!” James shouted, lunging to snatch the Bond–Breaking Order from my hand!
But it was too late.
I summoned my wolf power and activated the decree.
The scroll exploded with radiant light, its divine and solemn power rushing out like an

The moment it shattered, I felt a sharp sting deep in my soul, like a needle’s prick, and then a fierce force surged out like an eagle breaking free from its cage.
James staggered as if struck by lightning, letting out a gut–wrenching howl of pain.
His huge frame trembled violently, his wolf spirit in chaos, blood spraying from his mouth, nearly knocking him unconscious.
The Duskfang Pack wolves froze in stunned silence. Evelyn stumbled back, her beautiful face twisted in shock, unable to believe their Alpha had fallen.
I swept my cold gaze over them, showing no mercy.
This was the price of betrayal!
James’s broken state unleashed every bit of the humiliation, anger, and bitterness bottled up inside me, turning it into pure exhilaration. I returned every insult he’d ever thrown at me a hundred times over with my own hands.
The shock on the Duskfang wolves‘ faces and Evelyn’s panic all filled me with a freedom I’d never known before.
Diana howled wildly inside, “Cindy, we are free! The glory of the Silverpeak Pack blazes bright again! Let these traitors witness the fury of the Northmere wolves!”
Freedom’s breath surged through me like a crystal–clear spring. I stood tall, my pale, moon- white gown fluttering in the wind, the Soul Breaker claw gloves gleaming coldly on my wrists.
James lay sprawled on the ground, his wolf spirit flickering weakly, his Alpha pride completely shattered.
My eyes scanned the square. Some wolves bowed their heads, while others whispered among themselves; the lowborn werewolves‘ eyes sparkled with awe.
Prince Adam stood nearby, his golden eyes fixed on me, his emotions unreadable.
But just as I savored this victory, a sharp, desperate Omega howl shattered the silence, coming from Moonwhisper Residence. It stabbed through me like a knife.
“Jewel!” I growled, my Alpha aura bursting forth. Ignoring the chaos around me, I became a white shadow, racing toward Moonwhisper Residence.
