“I see…” Katie’s eyes turned red after hearing my explanation. She suddenly dropped to her knees in front of me. “Your Grace, Knight Silva, wronged you! I-I thought you were seducing him, and that’s why Lady Sephiria ended up like this…”
“Get up.” I quickly pulled Katie to her feet, my voice a little choked. “The blame for this to the people at the top playing games with everyone’s lives.”

Just then, Sephiria-who had been half-unconscious-seemed to react to hearing names like “Prince Niall” and “Cindy.” Her frail body started convulsing.
“Uh… Ah…”
Her cloudy, empty eyes suddenly lit up with a frightening brightness and somehow focused again.
Her gaze locked tightly on my face.
“E-Eleanor… N-No… Cindy…”
She recognized me!
The moment she realized who I was, Sephiria completely broke down.
“Waa!”
She opened her mouth and cried out in heartbreaking sobs.
Her voice was hoarse and broken, carrying two years of pain, despair, and anger, like she was coughing out her very lungs.
“Cindy… My Cindy…”
As she wailed, her chest heaved up and down.
Suddenly, her face turned a scary shade of purple.
“Pff!”
A huge splatter of bright red blood shot out of her mouth. It soaked the faded white bedsheets and even splattered onto the hem of my dress.
“Lady Sephiria!”

I stood there, completely frozen.
My hands were covered in blood. The warm feeling made my whole body shake.
It felt like three years ago all over again, back when I was digging through the ruins of the Silverpeak Pack looking for my family. That same feeling of helplessness and terror hit me like a wave.
My heart felt like it had just fallen into an icy pit
“Don’t just stand there! Help!” Viola shouted.
She pushed me aside and rushed forward to help Katie and Carla.
They had clearly done this before; even though they were crying, they moved fast.
They quickly turned Sephiria’s head to the side so the blood wouldn’t block her airway. Then they forced her mouth open and poured in a dark green life-saving potion.
Next, Carla pulled out a syringe and quickly injected Sephiria’s arm, which was already covered in old needle marks, while releasing her Omega pheromones to calm Sephiria’s mind.
I just stood to the side, my hands squeezed together so tight I didn’t even notice my nails drawing blood from my palms.
“It’ll be okay… It’ll be okay… You have to make it.” I muttered.
After what felt like forever, Sephiria’s breathing inally became steady. She stopped coughing up blood.
Katie wiped the blood off her face with warm water and changed the bedsheets,
“Aunt…” I quietly walked to the bedside, knelt down, and held her hand. It felt so light, like it had no weight at all.
Sephiria slowly came to.
She opened her eyes halfway. She looked at me and forced a small smile that looked even
