Chapter 366 The Two Princes
Cindy’s POV:
The laughter in the quiet courtyard felt like the warmest fire in the middle of winter, chasing away the gloom that had been lingering in my heart for days.
Queen Elizabeth’s hearty laughter, along with Queen Isabella’s softer, slightly reserved but gradually relaxed chuckles, finally brought a touch of human warmth to the otherwise cold palace.
“Awroo-”
At that moment, Diana let out a low warning in my mindscape.
I immediately caught the shift in the air. Two powerful, fresh, and vibrant Alpha pheromones were approaching from the corridor outside, following closely behind King Ryken’s overwhelming presence, steady and imposing like a mountain.
Those pheromones carried the sharp, icy scent unique to Northmere, mixed with the hardened, blood-forged edge of soldiers who had spent years on the battlefield.
“They’re back,” Adam said, sitting beside me. He gently squeezed my hand, a warm, almost brotherly smile tugging at his lips.
As soon as he finished speaking, a servant lifted the curtain at the entrance to the hall. King Ryken strode in, dressed in a dark gold casual robe. Behind him followed two young men clad in Northmere’s black iron military uniforms.
They were King Ryken’s other two sons, the second prince, Noah, and the third prince, Peter.
This was my first time truly meeting these two princes, who were well known throughout the kingdom. As future leaders, they hadn’t stayed behind to enjoy the comforts of royal life like other nobles. Instead, King Ryken had sent them early on to train in the harsh and dangerous military camps of Northmere. They had even missed Adam and my grand bonding ceremony because of urgent duties at the front lines.
