Chapter 367 A Belated Gift

Cindy’s POV:

Prince Noah’s and Prince Peter’s gazes immediately fell on me.

As commanders in Northmere’s army, they were naturally very familiar with Silverpeak Pack, once the dominant power of Northmere. When they looked at me, there was none of the casual appraisal reserved for noble ladies. Instead, their eyes held the scrutiny and respect one warrior gave another.

“Cindy, they both said, giving a slight bow.

Prince Noah stepped forward, his tone carrying sincere apology. “Cindy, when you and Adam held your bonding ceremony, Peter and I were pinned to the Northmere border because of a sudden disturbance. Military orders kept us locked on the front line, and we couldn’t make it back. Missing such an important moment in your lives… we truly feel sorry.”

“You’re too kind, Prince Noah,” I replied with a small smile, returning the gesture. “Orders come first, and the safety of the realm matters most. Knowing you were guarding Northmere gave Adam and me peace of mind. As long as the thought was there, it didn’t matter whether you were physically present.”

After hearing that, the respect in Prince Noah’s eyes deepened. He turned and took two finely crafted rosewood boxes from an attendant behind him.

“We couldn’t be there, but we prepared gifts ahead of time. Peter and I chose these together as wedding presents. We hope you and Adam will like them.”

Prince Noah opened the first, slightly larger box.

Inside lay a pair of goblets made of pure gold, each set with deep red rubies along the sides. The design was elegant and classic, with intricate carvings of wolves chasing the moon etched into the surface. Under the hall’s lighting, they reflected a dazzling glow.

“The second one was Peter’s idea,” Prince Noah said as he opened the longer box.

Inside was a large folded tapestry. When Prince Peter eagerly unfolded it like he was presenting a treasure, I couldn’t help but hold my breath.
