The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 262

Victoria's hands, hanging at her sides, clenched into fists.

So this had all been Elias's plan from the start.

He never had any intention of leaving.

Just then, Tobias's phone rang again—another insistent call from his department.

Hawk looked at Tobias. "Dr. Holt, you're heading back to the hospital, right? Perfect. Mr. Shawn's medical records are still there. Would you mind giving me a ride?"

Tobias's expression darkened. No matter how slow he was, he understood exactly what was happening now.

Hawk didn't wait for an answer, turning and walking toward the elevator.

The phone continued to ring incessantly.

Tobias's brow furrowed. He ended the call and looked at Victoria, who stood there silently. "Victoria..."

Victoria lowered her gaze and took a deep breath. "I'm fine, Tobias. You should go."

He looked at her with a complicated expression, opening his mouth as if to say more. But his gaze fell on the bag Hawk had brought, and his gaze grew intense and heavy. In the end, he only said, "Call me if you need anything."

Victoria nodded.

After Tobias left, Victoria watched until his figure disappeared from sight, showing no intention of turning back into the apartment.

Elias watched her, his face grim. "Can't bear to see him go?" he sneered.

Victoria ignored him, shut the door, and turned to go to her bedroom.

Already simmering with anger, Elias was infuriated by her blatant disregard. He reached out to grab her.

"Elias, tell me, what is it you want?"

All of Victoria's suppressed emotions erupted. "I've done what you asked! I've stayed far away from you. If I could, I'd leave The Imperial Capital right now and never see you again! But you? Why do you keep coming after me?"

"Is it because you haven't had enough of a laugh at my expense? Fine. Tell me, what else do you want to see? Do you want to hear about my pathetic, one-sided crush? Or about the two years of our marriage where I begged you to give me so much as a second glance?"

"Or maybe you want to know how, after I was no longer Mrs. Shawn, I became the villain everyone on the internet despises?"

The corners of her eyes were red as she trembled uncontrollably, her voice raw with anguish. "Elias, I'm begging you, what will it take for you to finally leave me alone!"

Without waiting for an answer, Victoria turned and fled into her room, slamming the door behind her.

Elias stood outside the door, motionless for a long time, his expression dark and unreadable.
