The Alpha's Four Hidden Heirs (Natalie and Samuel) novel Chapter 143

**Chapter 143**

Alpha Samuel Bowers.

As I stood there, Mark was busy organizing our men, and my thoughts were consumed with the impending arrival of Kataleva. I knew I had to be focused on the mission ahead, but my mind kept drifting back to Natalie. A gnawing worry clutched at my insides, a sense of urgency that I should have been by her side instead of waiting here.

The door to my office creaked open, and Mark stepped inside, his expression serious yet determined. “Kataleya is here,” he announced, breaking through the fog of my thoughts.

“Alright, let’s move,” I replied, pushing aside my concerns for Natalie, at least for the moment.

I exited the office, stepping into the courtyard where my men were already assembled, their faces a mix of anticipation and resolve. Kataleya stood there with her entourage, five witches and two warlocks, their presence commanding respect.

As she caught sight of me, Kataleya made her way over, her confidence radiating off her like a beacon. “So, are you ready for this?” she inquired, a hint of challenge dancing in her eyes.

“Absolutely. I have a feeling this is going to be a straightforward operation,” I assured her, returning her smile with one of my own. She nodded, her expression shifting to one of approval.

“The floor is all yours,” she declared, stepping back, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me. Her willingness to let me take charge in matters of strategy was appreciated, especially when it came to planning our attack.

I cleared my throat, drawing the attention of everyone in the courtyard. “We welcome the witches and warlocks of Dellmoor into our fold. Thank you all for gathering here today. These are extraordinary circumstances, and I am grateful that we can put aside our differences for a common cause.” My voice carried, resonating with the urgency of our situation.

“A group is threatening our supernatural community, particularly the witches and werewolves among us. I’m sure many of you have heard the unsettling rumors about missing wolves and decapitated bodies washing ashore. Unfortunately, those rumors are all too true, but I won’t delve into the gruesome details right now. What truly matters is that we put an end to those responsible for this chaos.” I paused, letting my words sink in as murmurs of agreement rippled through the crowd.

“Our target is Nichols Pharmaceuticals. They operate from a sub-basement that we need to infiltrate. The drive from here will take about two hours, and by the time we arrive, it should be dark, and the building will be devoid of personnel.”

“We’ll divide into two teams: one will approach from the front, while the other will take the back entrance. If you have the opportunity to take hostages, do so; if not, I won’t hold it against you. Above all, keep an eye on each other. We don’t know what these enemies are capable of or what tricks they might have up their sleeves, so stay vigilant.”

With a rallying cry, I concluded, “Let’s move out!” The air filled with fierce war cries, a chorus of determination echoing off the walls.

Kataleya’s second-in-command, Alin, joined Mark and me in our SUV. Mark took the wheel, and I settled in the front seat beside him, while Alin and Kataleya occupied the back.

As we drove off, the other vehicles—SUVs and trucks—followed closely behind us, a convoy ready for action.

“Any traffic?” I asked Mark, glancing at the GPS screen lighting up with our route.

“No, it looks clear. We should arrive on time,” he replied, his focus unwavering.

Kataleya, her brow furrowed with concern, interjected, “Sorry to interrupt, but won’t a convoy of SUVs and trucks draw attention? Isn’t that a bit conspicuous?”

I turned to her, reassuringly. “We have someone monitoring the cameras. They won’t see us coming.” Her surprise was evident, but she nodded, accepting my explanation.

“Now, if the Valkyrie have truly reformed, how powerful are they?” I probed, curiosity piqued.

“At their peak, they were formidable, but now? I can’t say for certain,” she replied, her tone laden with uncertainty.
